So, say my wife and I (hypothetical since I am not married) have one child, and then she has an accident that leaves her womb inhospitable, and so we ask another woman to act as a surrogate to one of my wife's eggs fertilised by my sperm, and that woman subsequently gives birth to that child - are those two children not siblings?

Hmmm. I suppose they would be siblings. But family isn't just genetics. Suppose you both had an accident. Lets say an industrial accident and you balls were crushed. Her ovaries no longer produce eggs, but her womb is fine. So she gets someone elses egg and a sperm donation, its implanted into her womb and she gives birth. Would that child be related to the first? Not genetically. I know its far fetched but all possibilities have to be explored if we're going to get to an answer.

And a second question. If your clone is family, what then do we call it? Brother, son, uncle, cousin? Or is clone a new classification of family member?

but unless your clone has rapid aging, you'd be whatever age you are now and they'd be age 0, which means you'd have to wait a few years, and they'd be closer to your identical twin son.
