No. Save your money. No sense getting the exact same thing again, just in a tighter package. Wait for actual upgrades to the hardware or even software.

If you didn't already have one, they'd be cool. Sleeker design for the same price; Can't beat that. Course I'm more looking at the stock of First Gens that will be going on clearance.

I didn't realize being almost 9x faster, 33% thinner, and slightly lighter wasn't an upgrade.

Personally I wouldn't. It's not like it'll be any different than the one you already have, a bit faster maybe but why should that matter? Unless you've been having a problem with your current one being too slow for you, there's no point :/

No, what a waste of money for an Ipad and this upgrade is so minor it is barely worth noticing, all this Ipad 2 press is just a marketing stunt so people don't forget about their products.

Don't be taken in by this marketing stunt

Not really much point in getting it if you already have the first one, sure you could say it's 9X faster but has the first one really been that sluggish for anyone?

and three times the cost of an equivalent netbook!
The price never went up. I also never said what it was better than, I just said it is an upgrade.

Okey..Can I vote for "Books" instead?
They come for free, don't have to be recharged, are far more resistant to bump and water-damage, and don't have to be updated every year.

Where in the world did i say the price of the Ipad 2 was more than the price of the Ipad 1?
You mentioned the cost of a netbook, when I never mentioned the cost of an iPad. Hence why I said that.

I reckon you will be disappointed in the money you waste to buy a thinner version of a product you already have.
Sure Apple makes it look and sound amazing with "greatest advancement ever" or something like that, but they have said that about EVERY product they have designed in the past 5 years or so.

I can't really see the point of it being 9x faster. When I used an ipad last year there was next to no slow down so I can't really imagine people buying it out of necessity rather than just wanting it for the sole reason of 'It's the new ipad!'

Wow! Excellent idea Apple, release a successor to the product that nobody could afford anyway. We HAVE to buy this model because it is un-noticeably lighter and only takes up 4 pockets worth of space. Now go upgrade your iPads guys, all three of you.

But it will still be running Ipod ports at the same speed.. its a not necessary-huge change for people already with an Ipad.. but uf you dont have an Ipad and want to buy one, yeah if you can wait a week you get a smaller, bit faster one with a camera for the same price.

Nay it's essentially a gimped version of the inevitable ipad 3. But apple fanboys don't realise that.

It has a better processor and screen resolution. Is therefore fast, thinner and lighter.

Software upgrades are continuous through iTunes, like they have always been with all Apple products....

The cost is almost the same as the previous iPad.

But then when the iPad3 comes out you would just say it's a gimped version of the iPad4?
