Well it depends, it is slightly sexist to imagine women as these helpless little things who simply fall to their feet at your sheer wonderful manliness but I do understand the appeal of being that gentle, strong, caring male provider I guess. I mean I pictur myself as that kind of guy all over, mostly because I am at least six foot two and I had a solid build so most girls I know barely reach under my chin as it is so I kind of have to be the big man. I don't feel like being an aggressive dominant though, more like just a loving protector who can hold her close and warmly and gently and make her feel safe.
However, if given the choice can I find power attractive... yeah I suppose so. I mean if we look at most movies, the female lead who can look after herself, has a lot of attitude and very confident with her sexuality is generally percieved to be more 'sexy' than the sweet innocent helpless angel. This applies to most of the roles Mrs. Jolie gets in the movies by the way. I mean there's something about a powerful dangerous sexually confident woman that helps get men's attraction. It's a power fantasy, that's why according to the rules it's not just the woman's looks in movies like that, that make her attractive... it's her attitude and dangerousness combined with her sense of power and sexuality. Besides let's no forget about the men into S&M, it's less about pain and more about someone else being in complete control that gets men excited. And because it's a shift of roles for a woman to be in complete control by social norms I think that does help in a way. I mean come on, the dominatrix is one of the main symbols of sexuality these days.
*drools*
So ultimatley I think I would find a powerful, sexy, dangerous woman to be certainly very appealing in a sexual manner. A violent, sultry and attitude ridden sexual manner.... but in the end I would fall in love with the sweet innocent angel.
