The poll says "Is the Wii good for long term use or just hype?" The poll says yes or no. Please clarify.

Enough about the wii already, ZP goes on a rant and suddenly everyone is yahtzee. Its just another console, some people like it some dont.
We're experiencing an anti-Wii hype.
Poll: Will people keep bitching about it, or will they create a more original thread?
O-yes
O-no

I think the caliber of 3rd party games is getting better, so it should last a little while longer (there is a nice FPS engine designed for it now). I just highly doubt I could ONLY have a Wii, because there are a lot of blank times where there are no games, which can usually be filled by other consoles or virtual console.

This isn't even a case of using the seach button, this is a case of not even reading the names of the threads created in the last thirty minutes.

As much as people hate the Wii, it's going to be the next NES.

go play Metroid Prime 3, neither of those groups can play that game. I hate to act like a Wii fanboy, hell I barely play my Wii, and damn near none in comparison to 360, but people who say things like that have obviously never played any Wii games other than the shovel ware, which isn't a representation of the system, and if it was I could judge the 360 solely on The Bible Game(yes, that's real).

"Is the Wii just hype or is it really good?"
-Yes
-No

*head explodes*

That is NOT a yes or no question!

It's hype. I do enjoy it on occasion, but there's no denying it's just the most successful video game gimmick ever.

Your right, I couldn't live if I only had my Wii, and when I didn't have my 360 I supplemented it with computer gaming. the Wii has some games that are easily as, if not more, amazing than 360 and PS3 games, there just few and far between.

The Wii is at most kind of fun. If you're a casual gamer then it will be worth the 250 bucks. If you're a hardcore gamer it gets boring after you've tired of Wii Sports. That's just my opinion.

That poll is not really a yes or no question.

I think it is here to stay until they decide to start trying to appeal to hardcore gamers again.

The wii is ok, I mean there are some good games like no more heroes, twilight princess, wii fit (I actually like it to some degree) wii sports is interesting but doesnt hold my interest, and probably many others....the trouble is that most of the games that have an epic feel work just as well on a normal controller, hence would be better on a stronger system with Hd graphics, because wagging my wii mote a little to swing a sword is no better than pressing x.

Though some games do use the motion controls rather well, I am disappointed that most of them are minigames you can only enjoy so long or a shooter. Shooters are great, but even that novelty starts to wear down. It also seems there is a new device to added on to the wii every few months, you got the wii wheel, the wii balance board, the wii motion plus I mean honestly, whats next the wii ankle chain? the wii head strap? the wii backspine? It just gets annoying to buy more and more things to support the system, and unfortunatley I feel i have to push the wii aside very often.

Still it has the abillity to hold my interest, its just a lot of games dont draw me in either

I bought it and I played it for a few days
I'm not a fan but I do occasionally break out a good game for it, like Galaxy
Big Brother can see what you're doing

Hype.

Unless, you're a house wife, an old woman, or a 4 year old, you're not gonna like the Wii.

I can't believe I fell for it. I waited for 6 months to get that goddamn thing and I sold it in 4.

I don't know, sir. I'm playing mine right now. But it sure as hell isn't a Wii game. I personally don't even like the Wii controls, there are a few exceptions... the only one I can think of right now is Trauma Center SO... possibly Okami, but it makes more sense than not as to why I would.

Out of all my Nintendo products, I can honestly say that I have more Gamecube games than Wii. But let's just face facts here, the Gamecube had some fucking gems... as much as people would hate to admit. And my 11 to 2 ratio kind of speaks for itself.

It's almost the perfect system... almost... don't hold me to that. Take away all of those god awful casual games, look at Nintendo's franchises (LOOK AT THEM jk) and look at Wii shop, or whatever it's called... you've got yourself a nice little piece of machinery.

Let's not forget that I only have to pay eight bucks for Act Raiser, and Ogre Battle. Now if you can think of any counter as to why paying eight bucks for either of these titles is remotely bad, within logical reason...
