Poll: Is Worms better in 2D or 3D?

Worms is a really good and original game that has come out for many platforms and many types. But The newest Editions to the Worm's Game list are in 3D. I had a half an hour long argument with my brothers about which type is better, and I'm curious to know what other people think.

Personally, I believe that In 3D, Worms is better in design and gameplay, but what's your decision?

Are you kidding? There's no contest: the 2D games were better in every way than the 3D ones. The 3D ones weren't awful, but they weren't the timless classics that the 2D ones were.

Mainly because of the inflatable scouser from Worms 4

2D was better but then the only 3D worms I played was very fucked up for some reason.

3D fucked the game royally. So count out one "2D I guess" to "way better 3D".

i love the old 2D version. i still have the original worms for the sega megadrive sitting next to my very old sega megadrive. shame the controllers for it are broken

It was better in 2D, in my opinion.
That's not to say it wasn't fun in 3D, mind. It was. It was a lot of fun. But, for me, nothing compares to the original Worms game. It was just amazing.

Although, there is one thing I remember from one of the 3D games. Those deployable turrets. I remember it being a nightmare to hear those two consecutive beeps. They'd always be followed by a torrent of gunfire.

Worms Armageddon was amazing, Worms world party was also amazing.
I didnt really like the 3D ones, didnt feel the same and they sucked.

When I first played a 2d I was used to hogs of war so I hated it.
When I tried out a 3d I thought it was a little better but still a poor mans hogs of war.

On topic, I like them both. Both were very fun to play, and I had a lot of multiplayer fun with both of them.
