Poll: I've done something terrible... a thread about avatars

I'm sure many users are already aware of this but apart from a brief period a few months ago where I experimented with some other avatar ideas, every avatar I've had since mid 2010 has been based on a Big Daddy from Bioshock, often with a face granted on like my current one. Why? Sticking to one theme is a good compromise between being recognisable and scratching that "I want a new avatar" itch.

I only changed my avatar ONCE in all my forum going history and that's because I lost the file to my first one. Was also a dango from Clannad ending. The old one is probably still on some forum I don't visit anymore, but what the heck. The only place where you could notice the change is Skype, because it had the first one and due to an accident it got overwritten after I lost the file, therefore it has the second one. Otherwise once I upload an avatar I don't change it.

I've changed my avatar twice in the space of about 2 years.

I don't really have a theme though, it's just things I find that I like

I've had two avatars ever, one before I changed my username and one after. I've made the majority of my posts after changing it, so I imagine that anyone round here who knows me would know me by that name.

As to the avatar itself, well, anyone who knows who my username is going on about should get the avatar. They sync. I like the picture too, it's quite funny.

I change it to usually something I like, but it always turns out to be an anime gif.

Like now I have changed it back to Tomoya from Clannad.

My avatar's been the same since I set it all those years ago. No intentions of changing it at any point.

Especially seeing as how there's a bloke with a Pete Townshend avatar, and I've been waiting 2 years for Roger & Keith to show up, so this is staying.

Turns out I lied earlier in the thread! I didn't end up going with Community, House or Arrested Development. But I did make this one myself (using the pictures that somebody posted, and the guide for making avatars)

I've had mine for years. My original one was a non-animated servbot. I will never change it and I can't stand when anyone else changes their avatar. Its like changing your first name in real life, its weird.

It's a pinky demon from Doom 3 wearing a santa claus hat. not much to see here. I used to switch it to a different version depending on what holiday was coming up next, but I got lazy.

Well this picture was drawn especially for me, and I don't get to use it so often, so it wouldn't really feel right for me to change it.

But then again, I'm probably the only chap on the Escapist that has a Strong Bad related avatar, so I'm sure people could recognize me if I ever change it, because it'll likely have Strong Bad in it.

Well mine used to be a picture of Trogdor, but nowadays I have a pretty simple philosophy on what my avatars are like. Which hopefully is pretty obvious.
