So here's the deal. This girl got caught on camera accidentally walking (yes walking) into a fountain of a mall while texting. The mall guards promptly uploaded the video to YouTube and now some are saying they shouldn't have. Abuse of Power? Justified? Your call!

Well this woman wouldn't have fallen if she stopped to look up for a couple seconds. It's not the guards fault she's stupid.

It's not like it was an easy process putting it on youtube you know, they had to put in the effort too.

Nope, the bloody bimbo should have been looking where she was going. It's like the home video shows, funny mistakes that stupid people make!

Mall cops have no power really, they just stand there to look tough.

Also, that video is totally fine because it's hilarious.

The stupid thing is that no one knew who she was, she had complete anonymity... until she went public with her story about how she's suing the mall cops for laughing instead of helping her out of the water.

It's rediculous, not only is it her own fault that she fell into the water, it's her own fault that the mall cops didn't have time to help her.

If she had stayed face down in the fountain, instead of immediately getting up and out of there, I'm sure the mall cops would have rushed to her aid, but as it is they didn't have time to react before she got up and ran off out of embarrassment.

Also, she fails to realise that the Youtube video was a recording of the security screens playing back the incident after the event.
She's making out that it was a live recording and the mall cops spend all their time filming the security camera screens with their mobile phones, just in case something funny happens.

It was her own fault that she fell into the fountain and the mall cops couldn't have done anything to help, because she had already helped herself out of the fountain and left before they could possibly have had time to react.
By the time they actually recorded the incident on their mobile phone she was probably at home and in some dry clothes.

Well they weren't abusing their authority but they may have been breaching laws where they need her consent to publish the video. They probably should have helped her too, just out of courtesy.

That is fantastic. No way is this abusing power. Just something funny that happened and they wanted to share.

People really need to learn to lighten up. Everyone falls over occasionally. That woman shouldn't be embarrassed, she should laugh it off along with everyone else.

Pretty sure publishing the video was a breach of their contracts. As well as disseminating video they did not own.

Which means it was definitely an abuse of power. Still it was moderately funny so I'll not be judging them.
