My cousin has this game on his XBox. That means that in my family, not counting my computer, he has the most powerful gaming system. We're poor and lazy. That doesn't mean we can have shit-tons of good times.

I remember the first night he bought the game, about a year ago. It was late and we said we were only going to play it for about five minutes. Four hours later it was almost sunrise and we still weren't bored.

A year later, I finally have the game mastered well enough to beat him about half the time. Of the few I've played, this is my absolute favorite multiplayer game for the XBox. Can someone please explain to me WHY THE HELL THIS IS THE ONLY ONE EVER MADE? I would KILL A MAN, IN FRONT OF HIS OWN MOMMA, kinda, to play a graphically updated sequel. And that's sayin alot because I generally hate the idea of graphically updated sequels. But nothing is as satisfying as the 3D superhero combat in this game. This fucking awesome game. Please discuss!

I have it, and I've forgotten what the hell it was about mostly.

Probably that reason.

Probably because it didn't sell well. I remember this game bought it , beat it, sold it. It was pretty good

Only of includes the dull A.I. . The best parts of the game included the semi-intelligent A.I. killing themselves or breaking the basic laws of physics.

The best part of the game was knocking enemies off the roof of the Daily Bugle with Daredevil and seeing cracks in the sky. Or the time when enemies jumped into helicopter blades during a Spiderman mission and a random tank in the middle of Grand Central.

Hopefully, Vemon's Wanton Destruction mission makes a reappearence. I had some crazy times trying to complete that mission.

I took a look at a review on gamespot, and I gotta admit I wasn't very impressed with the single player that much, like most people. I kinda see why it bit the dust now. But the one-on-one combat system is so much god damn fun, and that's where I've spent so many hours playing. I really think they could construct a successful fighting game based on these characters (and the excellent animations and bookend sequences) and the intuitive control system. Just forget the stupid story mode.

But isn't that what it is once you've done the story mode?
Just a simple fighting game throwing stuff at one another with some half baked characters and their "altered versions"?

Yea, and that's all I want it to be. I was playing the other night and thought what a creative game they could make by building the story thru bookends, replace the cheesy "you'll be no match for me!!!"-type lines with story introductions, then let the fun commence.

Everyone says the fighting isn't varied enough, but I think a punch/throw/dodge/jump fighting system with weak/medium/strong toggles and a variety of usable items in the environment is plenty for a good times fighting game, especially one with such great character visuals.

I own it for the gamecube, and I love it. I hate Iron man/ The Wink, but love "the thing." he's just amazing with his air grabs. I honestly dont know why there aren't more fighting games like this.
