Doesn't it seem weird that in most open world RPG there always seem to be that one annoying NPC that always gets to you? Im not sure it there just bad at the start or the problem is that you pass them a bunch of time that you just get tired of hearing them. But good thing that we can kill them! So which you do you guys kill the most?

Where's the adoring fan from Oblivion? His face was so goddamn annoying I had to kill him immediately.

Indeed. There is one thing I really wished he'd say, though. "By Azura, by Azura, by Az-OURGH why do I suddenly have a daedric claymore through my chest!?"

However, I think I'll still opt for Noober instead. But enduring through his talkativeness gives you experience, so...

All obnoxious children NPC'S in Skyrim. Oh wait, I have a console version so I can't. How absolutely tragic. I suppose Nazeem will do for the time being. And that shop owner in Riverwood. And Belethor. And that annoying old warmane lady. I guess just most of the NPC's in skyrim, really.

I have no idea. He kept calling me to the strip club, which is still one of the worst coded places in video game history. I guarantee if you hear the words "Hey baby" in one of those places, you will lose control of the camera for upwards of 5 seconds. ANNOYING!

Noober from baldurs gate 1. Really this guy is the most annoying of all. Plus if you kill him there used to be doom guards that spawned so you ended up getting owned.

edit; I think the patches fixed this thing with the doom guards

Apparently he approaches you 32 times as well and you get 400xp if you tolerate his annoying interruptions.

None of the above.
The most annoying NPC in a computer game has to be Connor from Dragon Age. His voice was so whiny and his mother was just as much an irritant. I took great pleasure in ***** slapping her and then slaying Connor-- I mean, the demon.

I picked adoring fan but I almost picked TAAAAAAAALOOOOOOOOS from skyrim. I cracked up at the thought of killing that guy. I need an evil character now.

I agree with all on your list. But the most annoying NPCs are those in escort missions that are oblivious to the danger around them. Those are the worst ever. :)

He's currently in the ER having a bowling ball removed from his colon. He just loves...[shades on] bowel-ing! YEAAAAH!

Personally I hated the announcer/narrator from Crackdown. "Kills for skills, Agent. Kills. For skills." But I guess killing him is a bit harsh, maybe getting him fired and watching him work a nightshift at McDonalds is enough punishment. From the list I picked Nazeem, he's a prick. Whoever did the voice acting conveys that perfectly. The wanker.

Those god damn psychos in AC! So many times they pushed me into a guard or into water. And they're never in an open area so you can avoid them, it's always in narrow alleys. Nazeem's a close second, god damn I just wanted to murder that guy!

Annoyingly you couldn't actually kill them, but the Doomsayers in Neverwinter Nights pissed me off no end! I can't actually remember the exact phrase, but it was constant when running around the city...

In fact the whole background noise in the towns in that game were horrific! :/

I'm going to win this thread:

Gaenor the beggar elve from Morrowind.

Told you.

For those who do not know him. Gaenor is a guy in Morrowind, who stands in front of a temple you will most likely visit sooner or later and ask you for money. If you give it to him he will keep asking for money, every time alot more than last time until you say no. If you say no, he says he will get you back for this and next time you go to the place where he stood, he will be waiting for you with ridiculously overpowered equipment and try to kill you. He is by far the hardest fight I encountered in the game and the most annoying NPC ever.

Of that list I chose the Assasins Creed beggar. When you complete the game you're allowed to kill them without penalty, and I must have spent an hour just running around seeking them out for stabby fun times.

Outside of that list I'd have to agree with ThriKeen.

Was he meant to be deliberately annoying? Or did Rockstar actually think people would like him?
