Poll: Most needed block (resource) you need in minecraft

I need more diamond, because it's pretty hard to find, and I need to make stronger tools. I "need" gold because I want to make a giant solid gold pyramid.

In my current world, definitely stone. I have an absolutely massive cave system below where I decided to build so I can just explore around and I already have more than a stack of iron. I don't have enough diamond either, but I really need stone to actually build things.

Iron, you need iron to find diamond, and unless you love mining you will normally be using iron as your main tool material.

Good luck making an iron pick without wood, though.

AS you may have guessed, I voted wood; the simple reason being that it's an essential component of all the tools in the game. Theoretically, you could play Minecraft only using wood and coal (coal obviously being needed for torches): everything else is unnecessary. Extremely desirable, but unnecessary.
