Well, I feel it's wrong for it to be something like a 13 with a 31 year old person, that's just sick, but if it's something like a 16 and a 19 year old, that isn't anything bad. I know too many people that do that, but I don't really care as I think it's technically legal.

However, jailbait (13-17)? Already is. The age of legal consent is down to around 13 in some 1st world countries. And I, for one, think that's awwwwriiiiigggghhhtt.
No creepy 35-15 relationships please, but anything within 5 years? I'd call that fine. (Although being sexually/romantically active is different than, say, being A)Pregnant, or B)completely devoted to your partner for life.)

....Under no circumstances will it ever be right. Homosexuality and Bi-sexuality are somewhat harmless, and they both consent and know what they are doing so yeah. Pedophilia, will NEVER..under any circumstances, be accepted by anybody in modern society. Do i even need to explain why? Because i think nearly everyone on this thread can back me up.
I'm assuming you mean fucking a kid. In that case...yes, it's wrong. If you mean "is possessing a fetish for children inherently wrong," which is what pedophilia actually is (just an impulse, not necessarily acting upon the impulse,) then no. People don't have control of their fetishes.

I do believe it is wrong as well as illegal but at the same time I can't help but think that in a few years they will might be though of as homosexuals are now. By that I mean they might garner more support. The biggest stopping factor though is the fact that it is age instead of gender that the person wants to diddle.

Firstly as someone mentioned, children are not innocent, I myself distinctly remember very early sensations of eros, at 5 or below.
Children are also prone to act on those feelings, they do have a sexual drive, this varies of course from one individual to another.
But the society we live in today do evidently have the deeply carved notion that this is wrong.
And to disregard that will cause conciderable damage to a child, wich will have to live with the constant knowledge and psychosocial friction that results.
As adults we are in the possition of responsibillity over minors, it doesn't matter if they want to have ice cream instead of food, playtime instead of school, sex instead of waiting until mature enough. The structure of the society we live in depends on it.
So inside the system it is wrong. outside it's variable.

There are of course all kinds of exceptions, but those do not give the accurate picture when they stand alone.
The law is sterile and dead.
If there is to be any order you have to think for yourselves.

They focus on the pleassure of the child in question rather then themselves, deluding themselves of the consequenses the child will have to endure none the less.
