Poll: Playing with your other half?

I play games with my "wifey" all the time. She is as avid a gamer as me, and we share the same tatses in genres, so it works pretty well. I think it was one of our first few dates where we stayed up all night playing through one of the lord of the rings games. Very romantic I know, but she is still around so I did something right I guess. To this day I still can't beat her in mariokart 64, she is a freaking ace at that game.

I'm sorta trying to convince her to... My gf is not a gamer, and can be euphemistically referred to as being "not very computer-savvy", but she seems to have warmed up to the idea of playing WoW as a substitute for actually spending time together (in the past 13 months we only got to see each other for 2 weeks total, so yeah...) - something I already happily do with my other-other half, i.e. my best friend.

If we did get to spend more time together, or actually move in together, then we'd probably have more... interesting stuff to do. Plus, we both like to go Outside (it exists!) and play ball. Which can usually be more fun than gaming.

And actually, she has this distressing tendency to go "why play a game when you can do this in real life?" and proceed to do accordingly. Which is fine if I'm showing her a sports game, but if she does that after a bloody rampage in GTA...

My wife and I play together in Halo 3, and take turns at single player games. She plays more than I do, really.

Well, I don't have another half right now but most girls I've dated don't play video games, so I haven't really gotten a chance. I'd love to do it, though.

I hate playing games with my friends. I might still be a kid but I have my reasons of why I hate playing with my friends. Here's some reasons:

I hate when my friend comes over and he has to yell "Cut em up!" and "I got dem brain dawgs" while playing Left 4 Dead. Your not Crackbone and you don't do a good job imitating him! My dad always comes in my room and gives ME lots of shit for him being to damn loud! Another reason why I hate it when my friends come over to my house.

Also, I hate when you friends in your party team always mess around and team kill you! Don't fucking touch me!

How about that really fucking picky friend who has to play on the perfect controller sensitivity and finds it absolutely necessary to adjust it during a game when your in the middle of a fucking fire fire!

Online, people always send me invites at the absolute worst time! I'm in the middle of a fucking game, catching up to the other team and they send me a damn invite!

My friends always invite me to play games that I'm not playing. I get invites to Halo 3 or Gears of War 2 while I'm playing Call of Duty 4. Pisses me off!

There's endless reasons why I hate playing with my friends but I really do not feel like writing every single last one down!

If I were you I would get some better friends....

Meh sometimes but not often. I like my SP games. She has her own games. She doesn't have a gold acct. on the 360 so we can't go online together (she won't play unless she is getting achievements too). She will help me out if I need her to so it is all good.

But my ex-boyfriend and I used to game at the same time. Sometimes we'd play the same game, though usually one of us would play on the PC while the other was on a console.. What a nerdy couple we were.
