Poll: Playstation 2 Best JRPG System?

Ps2 had great JRPGS Dark Chronicles, Persona Legaia 2 FF9 Dark Cloud and Rouge Galaxy


Why is that?

I waited for White Knight Chronicles hoping to bring me back into JRPG Land but i was disappointed. So ive been thinking is it just me or did JRPG work better play better and were funnier on the PS2?

I dont find many Jrpgs to be good on the PS3

What do you guys think?
What was your guys fave JRPG in PS2?

I do like the look of the new Yakuza Game thou got the demo today. A Game where you can beat to death a mobster with a Pylon and a Bicycle is cool in my book.

For sure, though the PSP is becoming a really good place for them as well, if for no other reason than the VAST amount that are mode for or ported to it, including the PS1 classics on the PSN.

Of course you could play those on a PS3 as well, but doing it on a handheld makes more sense.

Yeah the PS2 seemed to be where most of the JRPGs hung out last generation.


As for my favorites Persona 3/4 Dragon Quest 8, Wild Arms 3 and SMT Nocturne were probably my top 5.

Yes especially since my PAL Copy Final Fantasy VIII only runs on the PS2 and not the PS3 (even thought it "plays" ps1 games, sony of course forgot to make sure it ran the pal version of the 4th best selling playstation 1 game ever)
