Poll: Saint's Row vs Grand Theft Auto

Well the old point that gets raised is that GTAIV filled a new niche in the sandbox market- some players like a slice of realism and sim whislt other people like Just Cause and Saints Row.
If you were to ask around I bet the large majority likes one or the other- proof if any was needed that the games have very different audiences, making any comparisons pointless.

But for the record? Saints Row, no competition.

GTA.I like Saint's Row but to me the GTA games are of much higher quality and have more interesting stories.

inFamous wins the sandbox wars in my opinion.

I've only ever played GTA games and don't care for them (with exception of the original overhead ones). I'd say Saint's Row is better in the hope that it's actually fun for more than 10 minute spurts.

I don't get the people who say that GTAIV isn't fun. It's loads of fun, its just different fun to Saints Row. I like both but I'd say I prefer GTA for sure.

How do you people live with the terrible controls in SR2? I recently bought it for my 360, figuring I'd see what the deal was. I quite playing after a minute in the first car. It felt like I was driving a shopping trolley. How is that not a deal breaker to anyone else?

Aside from that, I hope Rockstar craft another city I can inhabit. Because that's another problem with SR2: the city is dead. It's just robots walking around, compared to Liberty City.

That's actually my biggest gripe with saints row, and where GTA IV especially shines. But many people feel the other way, prefering the simpler SR driving model over the more realistic and complex GTA IV one.

Still, copmared to GTA, SR's driving plays a less important role, thus it is bearable.

Wasn't impressed by the GTA V trailer. GTA stopped being fun after the story turned to utter crap and they added all this realism so it felt exactly like real life.

Saints Row all the way.

San Andreas is better than Saints Row, But Saints Row is better than the other GTA games. I thought San Andreas was unanimously agreed to be the best GTA game but then when the GTA 5 trailer came out everyone started sayin how much they like GTA 4.

No poll, OP? Oh well.... I'll side with Saints Row. Shameless fun, but with a good story and great characters to match. I'm hoping that Saints Row the Third will be a sturdy contender for GotY.

Definitely Saints Row, particularly SR2.

SR1 was average, and I guess it held up with the best of GTA.

SR2 is still one of my favorite games ever.

And GTAIV was unbelievably dull and tedious. Mostly because of the constant babysitting, but I also hated the "realistic driving physics", if only because there were so many fucking chase missions. And yeah, I pretty much hated every character I met, including (especially) Nico.

The [Poll] is a lie. I prefer Saints row over GTA. It is my most favourite video game franchise, just because.

GTA4 and its expansions were the first GTA I ever bothered to finish, but then I didn't enjoy them either except for Ballad of Gay Tony. I DO enjoy Rockstar's other games like RDR, the Warriors and Bully for some reasons.

I enjoyed the Saints Row series more than any of the GTA games...and comparing the Saints Row 3 trailers to the GTA V trailer...
Saints Row looks more fun. Like...It's designed to be fun. Therefore...Saints Row wins.
