Problem with kids that age is that on one hand they are expected to know their actions have consequences, and on the other hand they are impossible to reason with in a heated situation such as the afformentioned one.

I am not sure whether or not the guard tried to reason with him, but I will assume he did. Cause lets be honest, getting in a fight with a 12 yo looks bad, everyone knows that.
But if the kid resists reasoning, acts rashly, and say things like 'I'll kill you ************' (thanks person who translated that), and basically assuming he can do whatever he wants cause he's 12 and they can't touch him.
