Poll: Should girls be taught how to pee standing up as children?

If you didn't know, girls can learn to pee standing up without third party aids. Here's instructions. They can even learn to do it well enough to pee through the fly of jeans, just like men. Video proof (not porn).

The benefits are clear:
- Speed up washroom lines by installing urinals
- Less wiping than a sitting pee
- Don't need to sit on gross toilet seats
- Don't need to squat in long grass when urinating outdoors
- Don't need to expose as much of themselves to pee outside
- Can urinate off the side of a boat
- Equality

So my question is: is this something that all girls should be taught at a young age?

On a serious note... I guess? I'm a guy, and I usually urinate sitting down. I've had surprise poops sneak up on me one too many times while urinating. So I guess maybe I'm not a good person to ask.

Seems like a complicated maneuver (Compared to the male version). And the adult would have to learn how to do it first, which I suppose isn't too common... or is it?

Yah, I don't think I'm qualified to answer this.

Like, half of those points are about peeing outside, peeing off boats, peeing through your pants... just do it. Go for it. Why not. I don't even know what's happening anymore.

Uh...I guess there's nothing wrong with it...is it practical to learn though?

Oh Lord I have no idea what I'm talking about.

"Should" is a bit strong.

OTOH, understanding female anatomy better, especially down there, can only be a good thing. Many people still believe that women urinate from their vaginas, including women. (Cue OITNB clip, but it's a real thing)

So, while this by itself doesn't seem too important, if it was part of better awareness of female anatomy (and preferably sexuality as well), that's definitely something I can get behind.

On topic: I don't know? Maybe? Like, if they want to or something? Why stop with this though? Just piss anywhere. On a tree. In your neighbor's backyard. All over the blackboard. Into the garbage can. Fuck it. Why not?

I mean, I'm a guy so the world is my bathroom already, right?

This has disaster and alot of soiled pants written all over it. Not because it somehow magically can't be done, because it is clear that it can, but because the going would be rough and we're talking about making this a thing FOREVER. I say let the information and the technique be what it is, and be optional. Choice is a powerful thing.

I'm gonna vote no, because I don't think it's something girls "should" be "taught".

I mean, sure, it's handy knowledge to have, but we aren't talking about good manners, or budgeting, or important life skills. Girls can learn to do it if they feel like they want to, but instructing lessons for unnecessary urination ability just seems wierd.

Knowledge is power, and more power to them. While I agree that this is a good proposal, it should be left up to the parents discretion.

You should see some of the rationales people use for how women can pee with a tampon in. They get really weeeeeeeird.

I support the awareness of female anatomy, but I disagree that this doesn't seem to important. It's artificially limiting what girls can do. And we all kind of need to pee.

It's not that difficult to learn and it's something that would ostensibly be done during the period where people generally soil themselves anyway.

You are only allowed to pee sitting up if you are able to aim the trajectory as such that you can drink it while urinating. This is the mark of a true man (even if you're a woman).

As a side note, topical avatar .gif OP.

If you're asking then clearly you've never been at a major sporting event. The men's restrooms there sometimes use troughs and it is typically very efficient.

Now if only more of those men washed their hands.
Sure, next you're going to say that guys shouldn't put their beer on top of the toilet so they don't need to hold it when they do their business.

I dunno, man. Sounds to me like the difference between waiting on people and doing the same thing with roller skates. Yeah, people can and have done it, but one is clearly more complicated than the other. Even still, all I'm against is forcing it. Let's prioritize less soiling over trick shots, okay?

Um, no. Why would women even want to pee standing up? The whole idea of urinals is pretty gross to me to begin with. Personally I don't get why dudes don't just sit down- though I've had some guys defend standing up to pee as if it were the essence of masculinity!!!

I don't really get it. I've been female all my life and I can't say I've ever been in a situation where I needed to pee standing up.
Sitting down is far better, in my opinion.

Whatever works for them, yo... I mean, I was never taught how to pee standing up, yet I was taught how to pee sitting down...

Basically, it's like those always available side-quest in video games... You don't have to do them, but you can if you wanted to, bra...

Sometimes, a man's urinary stream splits into a dozen different streams, and if you're standing, you can shotgun urine all over the room.

And nothing is more masculine then shotguns.

I mean, look at all those impressed peasants. Surely women are just as impressed by my shotgun technique, right?

Well no? I mean if just for cleanliness sake. I mean that men have a tube if flesh to guide the . .pee out away from their bodies, women not so much it'd go all over them.
