Poll: Should having an affair be illegal?

Simple enough question.

Why if being in two consenting marriages at once is illegal, is being in two non-consenting relationships legal?

Speaking from experience, (although long, long ago) having somebody cheat on you can easily be one of the most emotionally scarring things. I can completely understand some people not needing somebody to love them and only them, and so be polyamorous, but I can't understand why somebody would pretend to care about only one person and then betray them.

Anyway, being a dick isn't really a chargeable offense. Might as well throw the first girl/boy to break your heart in jail, seeing as the only "crime" would be hurt feelings.

Obviously, I think it's morally reprehensible, but definitely shouldn't be illegal.

Even though my dad made my mum anorexic from cheating on her and scientists have proved that rejection makes someone feel actual physical harm similar to an injury....I'm going to say no. I'm pretty sure it's a really subjective and kind of vague situation. What if the woman was abusive and the man cheated on her because he was unhappy for example.

But people should at least be open with the fact that they are polyamorous to prospective partners. If they are talking about a loving relationship and not a one night stand. I've been on the business end of that situation myself and it isn't pleasant.

No. Its not the Governments job to protect me from emotional pain from my personal relationships. I don't want the government in my bedroom in any way shape or form.

Imo affairs should be illegal or you'll get similar ads to what the NL is having atm.
(seriously we got tv commercials during daytime for a site, boldy stating that it's for those who want affairs)
Polygamy as long as they're all aware and agree i got nothing against though.
