I'm with Yahtzee on this one, at least Tails was around back when Sonic started up, and was still decent. Knuckles, and whatever other shithouse bit characters have been showing up can go die, though.

Knuckles was around from the start, good try though.

And OT, no, I don't. I think he should be maimed, but not killed, it could be a plot device of some sort. Kill off everyone but Knuckles, Tails, and Chaotix.

Game wise though, he was irritating in sonic 2, by refusing to die and constantly following me, being of little help. Story wise though he shouldn't die.

I hated Tails from the get-go. He kept going off doing his own thing, getting killed and distracting me. Plus Sonic never needed help to start with.

Actually, it was just a Left 4 Dead reference.

You really don't want to know what's been happening to the series since the Dreamcast (In my opinion, the decline started sooner). Trust me on that one.

Not really. He's not too bad of a character. He's one of the originals, Sonic's sidekick, and actually has been rather useful, creating the Tornado Airplane and such.

However I would like to see a big list of Sonic characters die, like Shadow the Emohog, Silver the Futurehog (Dragonball Z Trunks reference as well), Cream the squeeky voiced rabbit, that fat cat... you get the idea...

What the? Hell no, hes one of the few secondary characters that have actually been a positive addition to the series. And hes my personal favorite.

He's awesome...Sonic the hedgehog 2...as a kid I spent weeks playing that co-op with my brother, it started my love for cooperative multiplayer gaming.

I say No! Tails and Knuckles are the only secondary characters in the Sonic games that I actually liked.
Not that it matters much now, I pretty much ignore any and all Sonic games released these days.

There were other good secondary charectors, like-yea your right.... And same here, i just ignore sonic games as far as i'm concerned last one that came out was adventure 2 battle
