You see, it was this rug The Dude had, it really tied the room together.

And this guy, Wu, he peed on it.

You see Wu and this other thug broke into the Dude's house, thinking they had The Big Lebowski, but really they just had a Lebowski. They had the wrong guy, cause he's The Dude, and the guy they were looking for was suppose to be a millionair.

The Big Lebowski, The Millionaire, his wife owes money to Jackie Treehorne (a known pornographer... and that's cool. That's cool.) and if his wife owes money to Jackie Treehorne, that means The Big Lebowski ALSO owes money to Jackie Treehorne according to the thugs.

So The Big Lebowski's wife is running around, owing money all over town and then these guys come and they pee on The Dude's fucking rug in a case of mistaken identity.

Now, here's the question here dudes, because The Dude's rug was micturated upon, should The Big Lebowski have compensated him for the rug? Or is the The Dude just like every other bum, looking for a hand out. After all, The Big Lebowski didn't blame anyone for the loss of his legs. Some Chinaman took them from him in Korea, but he went out an achieved anyway!

Also, dudes, Chinaman is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian-American, please.

Keep in mind, Dude's not trying to scam anybody here. He's not greedy. He just simply wants to get back that which he has lost.

...Uh...Wu should pay for the rug. Why should anyone but the one who did the wrong be at fault? Clearly the Big Lebowski didn't order the guy who wanted to rob him to pee on some other guy's rug, so why should he be at fault?

This thread has potential, dude.

It's just a shame Donny isn't around to see it.

For the record, this aggression will not stand, man. Maybe the Big Lebowski should have offered a blowjob from Bunny as compensation?

Wu, in fairness, was acting as an employee of Jackie Treehorne and under his direction. Sides, Wu clearly doesn't the have the resources, thats why he's acting as Jackie Treehorne's highered goon.

It's like a Burgerking Employee makes an error in doing his or her job, you don't sue that person you sue Burger King as an entity because it was their employee.

Also, these two guys... Wu, they were looking for The Big Lebowski, and try to pee on his rug. The Dude is an innocent party in all of this, a case of tragic mistaken identity.

You're not dealing with morons here.

Well, what really should happen is Wu should go to jail, as should Jackie and still Wu since hired criminal isn't exactly an on the book job anyways. Still fail to see how Lebowski is at any actual fault in the rug thing.

Well The Dude does go to the police because his car was stolen.

Separate incidents.

We're talking about unchecked aggression here. I'm talking about drawing a line in the sand here, Dude.
Also Dude, 'Chinaman' is not the preferred nomenclature; Asian American, please.

That said, that rug really tied the room together, did it not?
I mean, not like the Dude can go give the Chinaman a bill.
Know who's the issue here? Jeff Lebowski, the millionaire. This is the guy who should compensate the Dude for the fucking rug.

There has to be some way to get rid of that stain... The Dude needs internet.
How would The Dude ever be able to lay down on the rug ever and meditate while listening to the 87 Classic in Miami knowing he's laying in a spot where Wu peed on it?

C'mon. That's unreasonable. This affects all of us, man. OUR BASIC FREEDOMS!!!!
