huh, I prefer slow, but I thought everyone would say fast, pleasant surprise.

It's not a real zombie unless it's slow.

Slow there easier to kill and the fast ones just seem to cheat.
Removing both of a zombie's arms in L4D2 doesn't stop them from scaling objects. Gravity zombies are not amused. I'd say that's more of a cheat to humanity.

On topic: Slow seem to like to swarm and grab/eat people, whereas fast seem to attack in smaller groups and beat things to death. I don't say which is really a favourite since I would prefer to have a mix of the two.

The threat of a zombie horde is scary... until you find out you can walk faster than them.

I say fast, because, as Ive said before, its scarier that way.

Depends on how killable they are, and whether they're virus zombies or undead zombies.

Undead + easy to kill: Slow
Undead + hard to kill: Slow
Virus + easy to kill: Fast
Virus + hard to kill: Either, fast if it's supposed to be scary, slow if it's a game or comical.

Slow is less fun, though.

Slow zombies, just to keep the tradition alive.

Plus slow zombies are quieter, thus harder to detect. I think that makes them a pretty scary threat.

Slow. A zombie is a being that was once alive and through some means has come back to life. Since it was once dead, it will be in the process of decomposition, thus it's muscles will deteriorate, THUS it won't be able to move fast. Therefore, a 'real' zombie will be slow.

So I don't think a fast and/or smart zombie is a real zombie. It's just an illness in my mind I guess.

I recently read a book with slow zombies.

The catch?

The animals could be infected.
...
And still run.

An interesting mix of the two to say the least.

At one point the group is collecting supplies at a docking area, being slowly surrounded.

When someone does notice, they see they're at least a few hundred yards away and ignores them.

His face gets ripped off by a charging zombie tiger from the Detroit Zoo because of it.

I'm now a fan of the author because of this book.
What was the book?

Slow. It kinda makes you feel safer, Being able to outrun them, But eventually they will catch up. And they amount of damage they can take makes them especially scary, I still like Fast zombies, But Gotta go with Slow

Slow because if they are slow I might end up being one of the few to survive during the zombie apocalypse. If fast i'm dead

For me, the slow type are the more terrifying. It's not so much that they're immediately dangerous, because they really aren't, but as a whole, they quite clearly symbolize the inevitability of death. They may move slow, but they will eventually catch you and devour your brains. It's just a more innately scary setting.

That said, I prefer fast zombies for games. It just makes them more interesting than otherwise.

I like fast zombies, because they don't make games anymore where you're being hunted by velociraptors. I want to be hunted.

I like fast zombies. They are more fun and are something to really be afraid. To all of you G.R. fan-boys who say that fast zombies aren't "real" zombies, go blow yourselves... up.

Slow. Fast really don't make as much sense when you consider the whole rotting thing.

If I'm fighting them I think I'd prefer slow zombies. Otherwise fast ones are cooler.

Fast zombies: In movies because I want everyone to die in them.

Slow zombies: Real life cuz' I'd enjoy shooting at them and running three feet away, then shooting again, and repeat.
