For those of you who saw the latest Zero Punctuation [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/673-MadWorld] you're aware of the new term "Spectacle Fighter" that Yahtzee mentioned.
As odd as it sounds I actually REALLY like the genre name. I believe there isn't enough genres to point out the distinctions between games and you end up with situations where games like "Devil May Cry" falls into the same genre as "Oblivion".
So I have 2 questions for you:
1) Would you consider officially introducing the new genre? If not, why?
2) What games, besides those that were named by Yahtzee ( Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, God Hand, and arguably Man-Hunt ) would you believe belong in this genre?
I'll give my suggestion: God of War. It may not reward as much for doing cool combos, but most enemies are pitifully simple and its mostly about killing them in the coolest way possible and building a big combo.
