Poll: Speed knifing in MW2

You know what I'm talking about. Those gamers who jump into a game, use an SMG with Marathon, Lightwieght and Commando, (possibly a Tactical Knife), and just run around knifing people. Me... I can't stand it. I wanna see what my fellow Escapists think.

Annoying as hell and espcially inconvient, but they generally hate it when i drop them with my glocks.

It's fun. Gives an adrenaline rush. I don't play MW2, but I do this on BC2 sometimes, wearing a ghillie suit. I'll jump into a group of people with lightweight armour and ceramic armour and knife 3 guys. It's hilarious!

If it happens to you, learn to shoot and cover yourself. Don't just sit there staring into space. Don't just sit there, period. Keep moving, move your mouse around not just your keyboard, and you'll be fine.

Making knifers rage is practically a game unto itself.

I heard someone complaining about this saying they are noobs and its lame but if you get knifed in the face and couldn't shoot the shit out of them before they hit you then you deserve a knifing.

Unfortunately, the "commando" perk causes them to instantaneously teleport directly into your face and stab you before you can line your sights up. It's complete bullshit on urban maps, where there's all of about three areas with enough space to avoid being in melee range the second you make visual contact. Even with my anti-knifer class, it still requires a certain amount of luck to put some buckshot into them before the game declares you dead the second they hit the "melee" button.

The real problem is when said knifer continually dies and runs right back to where you are. By the 4th time, he has painkiller and will kill you nomatter what. It becomes quite obnoxious. Still not as bad as grenade launchers though.

I think it's sorta dumb that a single knife wound can kill you were a few bullets cant.

Funny thing about MW2, is that pretty much everything in the game is "broken" to the point where no matter what you use, it's pretty much guaranteed to own faces.
I've had fun with just about every cheap tactic (like knifing, pro-pipes, shotguns [M1014], etc.) but they get old quickly, let me tell ya. I still play, primarily with mah buddies, so my main goal is not to own, but to have lots of fun shooting people with pretend guns.

I would be a hypocrite if I didn't choose BEST THING EVER, cuz I've done it before and enjoyed it. But, from what I've been reading, and just know from experience, people don't like and call it "cheap."

This article redefines "skill" and "cheapness." If you die, and they don't, they're better. But you just need to figure out how to counter them.
