Anywho.

So a friend of mine is beginning a campaign in the Star Wars Roleplaying Game (D20) system. We will be starting roughly twenty years after the establishment of the New Jedi Order.

Anyways, here's my conundrum; I'm going to be starting as a level eight Jedi Knight (Consular, to be precise) with a Padawan. My Gamemaster has already informed me that I will be dying later on to advance the story. So I'm not looking for a character to last me long; I'm looking for a character that'll be fun to roleplay as for a bit.

And here's where you come in!

Help Flying-Emu choose his roleplay! Below, I have posted images and some basic information about a few races I'm interested in playing as, and I want YOU to vote for which one you think I should play as.

*EDIT* Fixing images, give me a moment.
The Miraluka are essentially humans, with the difference being that they have no eyes; just featureless sockets in place of them. To compensate for this, Miraluka became attuned to the Force to be able to see. They also have a limited foresight ability. The most famous Miraluka would be Visas Marr (pictured above) from KOTORII.

The Mrissi are a race of small, avian-like humanoids. They tend to be pacifistic, are rarely anything but peacable, and tend to be scholarly. First discovered by Grand Admiral Thrawn of the Chiss Empire.

The Omwati are a race of near-human avian-like creatures inhabited their home planet of Omwat. They are gracious, intelligent, and wise. They prize family and friendship above all else.

Far right.

Squib are... giant rabbits. What more is there to say? Squibs tend to be the scoundrels and lowlife laborers of the systems closer to the Core.

We all know a little bit about the Togruta. The great Jedi Master Shaak Ti was a Togruta. The Togruta are fiercely loyal to their families and friends, as well as being fierce warriors when time calls.

The Zeltron are a race of near-humans who, in general, pursue pleasure (whether sexual or not) as their goal in life. They're considered rather attractive by other near-human races, and are often considered the only equal of Twi'Lek females in this area. While far from being your standard Jedi race, Zeltron Jedi do exist, especially in Luke's New Jedi Order.

The choice is up to you!

If you vote "Other", please post a picture and basic description of the race. Oh, and a link to a Wookiepedia article on them would be nice too!

Thanks for your time.

Squib are awesome sauce. And since you're picking someone who will die, it makes sense to pick the cute thing: makes the death more tragic.

I thought the Miraluka were all dead apart from Visas Marr?

And I voted Omwati.

the only game I ever played in Star Wars D20 was as a Miraluka Jedi with a huge lightsaber (I couldn't find the stats again when I looked for them later, but I did find a "greatsword" lightsaber my first time looking through the rules.

it was a shortlived game, but it was awesome

I think the Miraluka Homeworld was destroyed by Darth Nihilus (that was his name right?), but miraluka survived as a species. They are included in the races subbook of the Star Wars D20 book, and that's based largely during the movies setting, and KOTOR/KOTOR2 took place thousands of years prior..

I'm sure he'd go by the books, not the offhanded remarks from KOTOR.

You should be a Sluissi (in the picture with the Squib, the green thing on the far left) - you can triple wield lightsabers, one with your tail!

I voted Mrissi, because it's the closest to what I actually reckon you should be. I've no idea what its name is, but you should totally make a character as one of those tiny little bat things. The only one I've seen was in KOTORII, on Nar Shaada. He's the little squeaky guy in the corner that gives you the password to get into the Pazaak den, I wanted to alternately hug and punt him as he was squeaking away at me.

it's been years since I played the game.. in any case, I don't think the miralukas were extinct, as they've been in a lot of extended universe stuff after KOTOR/KOTOR2 took place.

The same species as Watto, the dude that kept Anakin and his mother as slaves in the prequel movies? I wanna say Neimoidians, althought that might be what the Trade Federation dudes are... to Wookiepedia!

EDIT: Yeah, Neimoidians are the Trade Fed dudes. Watto is a Toydarian.

Don't think too hard and just come up with a fun character.

You should just make your character an avid follower of Mr. T. You could have him spout catchphrases all day long while fighting.

It would be funny, plus, since your character will die, you won't have everyone get tired of it since it will end soon anyways.

No, he's not either of those. I found is name is Keelah-Nah, but I'm yet to find out what race he is. This must be the only place that Wookiepedia has let down a Star-Wars nerd.
