Poll: SW:TOR. Your first class?

TOR comes out in less than a month, and I'm starting to get pretty excited. So I wanted to know, what class will the Escapists roll first? Why that class?

inquisitor, it has lightning, sabre, tentacles, and the coolest ship and companions and story and voice acting..
and visual effects

also, it's overpowered to hell and needs nerfing
and it has a pet tank with 30% more health than players, that has an aoe taunt and so much mitigation you can basically ignore it while you zap people for the chuckles.

i'm frankly amazed they bothered to make any other class, whatever you do don't make a marauder they don't work properly ( yet )

At first I was going to do Sith Inquisitor because I thought the story sounded cool (slave rises through the ranks to become a powerful Sith lord), but I spoke to some beta people and they were not very enthusiastic about the overarching plot nor the romance options, but I DID hear good things about the Sith Warrior's story and romance so I'm probably going with him first.

I played the Imperial Agent to about 20 and I will definitely be playing one, but I think I'll wait til the S/S romance options are out since that seems to fit the character pretty well.

For Republic side I heard good things about the moral quandaries for the Trooper and Jedi Consular, so I'll be giving those a whirl whenever I'm finished with my empire characters.

Tough one. My friend and I both decided that we'd roll Jedi Knight/Consular, and Smuggler/Trooper together. And we'd quest with them until we get them off the origin worlds. From there, we'll decide what character we want to stick with.

I'm interested in tanking, originally I wanted to be a Trooper tank but my friend is leaning towards being a Trooper dps most likely. So for the sake of being a different class, I'll probably be a Jedi Knight and focus on tanking with him.

In the beta, I really enjoyed my time with the Smuggler though...

sith war or inq , ill level them both to 10 check out the specialist classes for a bit then pick a fave. i am a little worried about the whole light/dark side moral choice shenanigans after watching a few beta vids its looking a bit like to get dark side you have to be a plain out tool and the jedi are goody goodies which kind of misses quite badly on what they are.

Trooper for me. I rolled it into Commando during the beta...holy crap did I love it! Seriously, essentially an Auto-Cannon + Mortars + AoE's + A DoT proc + Heals + Heavy Armor...I swear to god it has to be OP. Plus the female version is voiced by Jennifer Hale, so you can't go wrong there.

I actually had tried Jedi Knight first and felt definitely out of place with the dialogue options given. I guess with my own mindset, I don't bind well to the Jedi Code. On the flipside, I really enjoyed being a Lightside Sith Warrior. The character felt 'good', despite being loyal to the empire. Lightside felt like playing a Jedi, just without being bound to the code.

Well I'm either going for a Sith warrior or for a smuggler. I prefer the Smuggler story but not sure if I'm too keen on the cover mechanic, while the Sith Warrior is fun to play but story is unoriginal and typical sith (which is still better than typical Jedi). This is based on my limited time playing on the beta.

Prob end up going smuggler, a red female twi'lek smuggler to be more accurate.

Smuggler, with the talent tree+secondary tree planned out, along with her backstory. Will be a gungslinger. Second character would be a Commando trooper. I have a feeling my smuggler is going to be neutral though, despite being chaotic good. Depends on how the decisions are weighted I guess.

Might go for trooper though depending on how good/bad the VA is for the smuggler. She will have to go against Jennifer Hale though, so she better be damn good.

Agent. I didn't read into the character much, just that it could heal. In respects to how much the masses in general know about the Sith, I was thinking it was the least popular but also a healer. So I was hoping I'd bring in a unique effect with my skills and some decent heals.

Bounty Hunter. I just love the concept of being a hired gun, my loyalties lying only with my current contract. Fun stuff.

Agent-Operative or Inquisitor-Sorcerer. Healer for life. I enjoy healing. Both PvE and PvP. However...
Bounty Hunters get Jawa as companion. I might make one just for that.

While in WoW, I play Horde because the races are so much cooler and who doesn't want to contradict your origins as a undead priest, being a anti-holy being using holy powers, while the Sith is cool, I prefer to be Jedi, and will be a Knight (or Consular, still not 100% sure) when I eventually get the game after the price has gone down and some launch things fixed over.

While in single player games I can be a dick sometimes, I feel like personally, NOT being the Jedi I always wanted to be in real life is just lying to myself...that and I couldn't be a Sith, cause if I get attached to someone, I can't screw them over. I'd never be a master Sith cause I'd get attached to my mentor and never try to take their place Dictator style by making them proud and killing them. They'd call me weak, I call me, a Jedi

If I do end up playing (a friend may drag me in) I'd go Trooper. Because Femshep.

Or Sith Warrior if we go darkside, but I'd as soon not, since the Sith are dicks.

Going with Sith Sorcerer (inquisitor) or Dark side Mercenary. Depends on what my little brother wants to play. As we're starting together.

If he goes Sith, sorcerer it is. If he goes for a gun class, Mercenary it is.

I highly doubt I'll play, but if I did, I'd be going Bounty Hunter first, and then a trooper.


And if you're wondering, yes, one of my favorite series is the Republic Commando books.

I knew that Bounty hunter would take the lead imidietly. During beta test I saw Bounty Hunters everywhere constantly. ^^ I though the Trooper and Inquisitor would have more votes though, but I suppose they will in time.
