Unsure which to really follow through, I decided a poll is what I would do. 3 summaries of 3 different kind of Rp's are below, you can read and choose which one you would like most to have a go. If you have any comments or questions feel free to post below after reading.

Scaled Mayhem-A Sci-Fi space spanning adventure, of the Core worlds vs the Outer. Disparity during a great economic boom, combined with the expenses of space travel led to a space war of epic proportions. Leaving many of the Outer worlds lacking production facilities, and the Core world without resources. Making an uneasy truce the two kept up trading but with it heavily favored for the Core worlds. Outnumbered but not outgunned the Core worlds would produce and sell to the Outer in exchange for more raw resources and material.

While each side controlled a niche, either side were hampered when trying to expand. The rebels sabotaging or destroying gathering ships, and the factories of the Outer suffering from accidents or lack of knowledge. Locked on a teetering scale of another war and or peace (pieces), who will tip the balance? Featuring battle suits and mechanized walkers among other weapons and tech.

Of Machinations and Monsters-A fantasy adventure in world of beasts of all shapes, sizes, and power, those brave enough to leave the fortified cities go forth and slay them for their prized parts. A war of the hunters and the hunted, of the civilized and the wild, only time will tell how it will end.

Able to be nearly any kind of race, including those of a monstrous variety, you'll have to survive and thrive in a world were you are only worth as much as your parts. Based off roughly from Monster Hunters, Monster Blood Tattoo series, and a few other sources, expect shady deals, fierce fights, and dangerous nights.

Misery Timed-Set around the 1800's, the city and nearby lands are being engulfed by darkness and snow. An unnatural winter has come, and with it murder, pain, and desperate people. You play merely a piece in the epicenter of it in a city on the coast. As whispers of something coming on the solstice run like rivers below, other strange things are happening.

Perhaps you are gifted with small skills unmatched, or unique powers that are dangerous and filled with wrath. Maybe you simply didn't ask for this as you are thrust in to the events because of who you are, or where you are. How you play and go in your own way is up to you, either way you have 31 days.

Captcha was-"That's It" and so it is at the moment with these three, while I didn't go in to detail to much for them, you can ask questions and I'll answer the best I can on it.

Machinations and Monsters looks fantastic, and, having read the Monster Blood Tattoo books, I'm quite looking forward to a Spoulder like Madame Europa hunting me down for my cruor.

That came out wrong.

Anyway, Misery Timed looks like quite a romp, too.

I'd narrow it down to the last 2. The look like the most fun to play out.

Question: In Timed Misery, what "abilities" would you be limited to?

Control over animal(s), mental illusions and messing with them (direct mind control is unlikely to appear), small things of a magical nature, creation of light, and control over elements to name a few. Along with biological aids of strength, speed, and mental facilities kind of thing. Though I'll prefer it to be more of a subterfuge and skills, over strength and raw power.

Quite sure you used some words wrong there, then again *shrug*.

I'd agree with just having the last 2 the first doesn't seem as developed or original but the other two look great It?ll be a while before I can decide which but either could be fun.
The first is actually the most developed and the basis is just a classic for the whole space age battles and tidings of despair.

In my defense, it has been quite a while since I read them. I remember the basic plot, the vinegar sea, some aspects of the world, the Lamplighters and that there was a character named Fouracres. That's pretty much it.

As a fan of the Monster Blood Tattoo series the Machinimations and Monsters option looks very appealing.

what sort of races are we talking about in Of Machinations and Monsters and how far into the "monster" spectrum are we allowed to venture into?

Within the realm where you aren't considered a "savage race" and your appearance isn't too bad. Though it can be if you want to, this offers some up and downs.

Umm you know machinations mean like plotting and planning by the way, and yes the classical common fantasy races are obviously allowed.

Timed Misery sounds like a lot of fun. I would play as someone with no powers, just to make it interesting.

Timed Misery will be appearing either today or tomorrow at any rate, along with Machinations and Monsters.
