Yes it is! If you have played an MMO or just about any game with text chat you have likely heard the title uttered in that just because the language filter is in a game and you can turn it off it is not an excuse to swear and you should be banned for swearing.
But i have to think if the filter is so bad that it legitimately let words it wants banned go through it simply must be an excuse. If you can type the word fuck and it shows up as fuck then typing fuck should not be a banable offense. The game has far superior solutions, one is to simply make the filter unable to be switched off this may sound idiotic but think about it it is already on you can already be banned for swears the filter is there and always on it is just up to people to report it rather than automation. It could also simply be better in place of turning your word into **** make it one of them no offensive words that would get by even you most strict filter and give the person private mail as to why it happened now you can not swear and you have no reports of it to deal with as a company.
Want to be even more harsh? Even easier! You already have the filter in place it is already filtering why not have it simply ban you outright? Even if it was only 30 minutes per square it would nest to eliminate swears, make it longer and the effect is ramped up even more. Are you running on a monthly subscription? Make the game cost more per swear the following mouth you have yet to pay for now you easily have them even it it does make your company a lot offucking assholes fluffy kittens!
