The escapist?
The escapist has changed. It's no longer about videogames, reviews, or fun. It's an endless series of proxy battles fought by mercenaries and idealists.
The flame-wars - and their consumption of fun - have become a well-oiled machine.
These forums have changed.
Forum members carry social theories, use logical fallacies.
Self-Righteousness inside their bodies and minds enhances and regulates their abilities.
Genetic control. Information control. Emotion control. Social control.
Everything is monitored and kept under control.
This forum has changed. The age of fun has become the age of control...
All in the name of averting injustice from groups of oppressed individuals. And he who controls the forum...controls history.
The foum has changed. When the battlefield is under total control...Flamewars become routine
"My people... Sons and Daughters of the escapsit. This much I vow: The history of these days will be written in FUN.
By tickling the armies of our enemy, by seizing the weapons they thought to turn against us, we were laughing for our very existence.
But if there are those who would deny us laughter; refuse us our rightful place in the forum, then we will unleash such terrible humour that generations yet unborn will cry out in laughter!
The enemy may shatter our threads, but they cannot break our spirit.
Even now they advance on our forums, to seize by force what they cannot claim by right.
They cannot imagine what awaits them. WE WILL TURN THE FLAMES AWAY FROM OUR FORUMS!
Though they sweep over our lands like the sands of winter, never again will we bow before them; never again endure their incessant arguing; never again endure their constant droning.
We will laugh without warning and without mercy, laughing as one hand, one heart, one soul.
We will derail their arguments and crash their debates, drenching our ancestors' keyboards with their tears. And as our last laugh tears at their lungs; as we rise again from the ruins of our threads... they will know: THE FORUMS BELONG TO THOSE SEEKING FUN AND LEVITY.
So join me, my brothers and sister, join me in bringin the fun back to these forums.
Let us share in a thread dedicated to fun, let us re-take these forums for we have lost something precious to the age of the fire and I say it is time we reclaim the forum section that is rightfully ours.
I demand we ban the everlasting flames of the "-ism" threads to the flamewars where they belong.
I implore you my fellow scapists, to retake these forums for it's intended purpose. Let the off-topic-forum rise again, to stand as a beacon of fun, laughter and civility.
