First of, this refers only to single player games with companions like Mass Effect, Borderlands, Fallout and stuff. Now do you like games in which you can have a team, companions, followers, and stuff like that and you have to take care of them. I personally like to play alone because concentrating on my teammates means less concentration on me. The only thing which made me hate Mass Effect is that you had to have 2 guys with you all the time. Of course not all games are like these, games in which my allies an take care of themselves is a good game for me. You have the poll so vote and say your opinion.

in games though I don't care, teams are fine, but alone is also good.

OT: I normally work alone because it makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something rather than just picking off where the guy infront of me had failed.

I'm no more a fan of AI partners than multiplayer with real people. I play alone for several good reasons, I wish games would stop forcing this nonsense on us. Particularly escort missions... argh.

See, I like to be alone. But I'm crap at video games. So I have to have a team to avoid me dying in the first five seconds. Tis a quandry.

I sometimes enjoy being alone, but I hate being alone for the whole game, which is why I have never finished Half-Life 2.

i hate playing with npcs (make sure i don't shoot them,wasting a lot of health potions/packs on them,make they all have good equipment, things like that)
but if they can take care of themselves like in cod i will be fine.

Usually alone, but I don't mind working in teams. That's why I like L4D series - sometimes you are on your own, but you are much better in a team. Even if the other people are just extra targets.

I'm a bit of both, I love L4D - so i obviously enjoy playing as a team but then i also love to run around on my own kicking some fool ass.
so meh i'm good either way.

(also it depends on the reliability of my team I've said it before, I DON'T APPRICIATE BEING KILLED BY MY "TEAM")
