So most of us know of the SEGA game Valkyria Chronicles, however you see the game is in a world that is very similar to Europe.

The Confederation kinda resemble NATO while the Eastern Europa Imperial Alliance sort of resembles a Warsaw Pactish monarchy all funneled together in a time frame with a mix of WWI and WWII elements.

So see that blue nation of Gallia? What real European nation do you think that represents. I'll list the three small northwestern mainland European countries, since thats all I can think of, but if you have another theory it is more than welcome.

Personally I think it represents the Netherlands pretty well. Maybe belgium.

I don't think it's meant to represent any country in particular.

Although if I honestly had to choose, it would be Belgium. Largely because during World War 1, Belgium ended up being put in the middle of the battle between the French and the Germans, despite wanting to keep their neutrality from the entire affair. The Germans figured they could walk through Belgium to get to France so they could avoid the mountains and also surprise the French, however Belgium didn't like that sparking conflict. It seems somewhat similar to Gallia's story, of how Gallia wanted to keep it's neutrality from the two groups, but was still invaded never the less, and Gallia decided to rise up against it.

That said. I've not completed valkyria Chronicles yet, so this is largely based on what i've seen in the first third of the game or so.

I'd imagine it'd be Belgium, with a good dose of France thrown in for good measure.

France, the very name Gallia should be enough to say.
I always imagined France as the main power in the confederation. I mean even in the mission with the Federation, the Federation ambassador had a very French like mustache.
