As someone who was one of the vamps in True Blood, I'm actually pretty amused by this. Glad the show is finally done so I'm released from my NDA. I will miss working on it though. I was a really great show to work on. I actually find this funny since we used to discuss this a little on set as we'll as other aspects of being a vampire. True blood vamps are formidable, but not the strongest even counting Eric, out of all television media.
I would also have to agree with VtM vamps as being superior even if you only take into account Kindred the Embraced. The range of abilities present in Kindred the embraced is incredibly varied making even baseline vampires formidable and unpredictable which is another advantage they have. You rarely know ahead of time what your really up against unless you know more about a particular vampire than just, it's a vampire. Some can shape-shift into other people, Some can dominate your mind, Some can even survive sunlight, and that's just a small sampling of abilities featured on the show that I can think of offhand from the show. But its the variation and variety are the most dangerous things about them. By contrast most of us baseline true blood vamps all have pretty much the same abilities which makes us more predictable, even if vamp speed for example is awesome.
