Poll: WASD or Arrow Keys?

I'm just curious if there are people other than me using arrow keys and the surrounding ones (numpad, delete/end/pgup, contol, enter) for playing games, instead of WASD.

I'm maybe too old, but I got used to playing on the "wrong" side of the keyboard, with the cursor keys used for movement and the surrounding ones for other things, many people mention that. For example, here is the config I use in most FPS games:

Movement: arrow keys
Fire: LMB
Weapon special: Crtl
Reload: Num Enter
Jump: RMB
Use: Delete
Crouch: Num 0

I use the other keys in that radius for other things if required by the game. It's very comfy and I got used to it.

So, what's YOUR preference?

WASD

With the game's major functions in spiral pattern out from those keys.
exceptions being equipment is always 1-9 whilst crouch/sprint/prone/jump always sit it ctrl, shift, alt, space.

I used to use arrow keys, but ended up using this at a LAN party and never stopped.

WASD so that I can use the mouse. And in MMOs, the attack keys (that I used to use at least) 1-9 are directly above WASD for easier access.

My personal preference is:-
movement: arrow keys
Fire: LMB
Reload: RMB
Jump: spacebar
Use: Ctrl
crouch:alt

The WASD keys aren't even placed like the arrow keys so I keep hitting E accidently...

WASD is easier for me when I use the mouse. It's easier to hit the surrounding keys (numbers, shift, ctrl, etc.) than the number pad.

WASD but I can snap back into Doom controls in a heartbeat. Are you left handed? I don't think I could play that way even if I tried.

When i was younger and games didnt have so many controls i quite happily used the arrow keys. But now to play games like crysis and stalker you need WASD

I use WASD if I play PC games because I'm right handed and so it's a lot easier.

WASD is ideal for me because I'm left-handed. I'm not much of a PC gamer really - just Morrowind and Oblivion, and that's the default control setting for those so I'm quite happy.

EDIT: Interesting contrast with the post above, heh.

No, I'm right handed, so I have to move the keyboard to the left a little, so I can play comfortably. That's why I can only play on a standard desk, because those "computer" desks don't have enough space for me to move the keyboard left, it falls off, and don't tell me about those drawer keyboard holder nightmares :)

I use WASD, because my primary hand is there. I also developed the habit of using ALT instead of Space to jump. But that's because of my craptastic keyboard.

Many Years ago arrow keys, but now WASD. More comfortable in every way for me.

I still use the arrow keys in Racing Games (Trackmania and...not much else, I prefer these Games on Xbox 360), with A to Accelerate and S to Brake

WASD.

Got hooked on it long long ago (shortly after my DOOM times.. God I loved that game.. and the ones that followed.. except for the newest one..) Anyways.. where was I? Thats right!

WASD. Works the best as I can get everything in a nice reach, and if I map some of the other buttons, it becomes GODLY. Oh, that and my lappy doesn't have the number keypad, so it would be a royal pain to try to figure out which other buttons to map to other things I need.

I prefer the arrow keys, but WASD is great for shooters, so either way it's fine.

And the 8456 keys at the right of the keyboard work pretty well too (esp. in Devil May Cry :D) if you need to handle many other keys.
