I mean do you snipe, heal,Blow stuff up etc. It could be in any genre(fps, mmo even rts games have a play style for everybody) How would you define you're playstyle?
Edit: Apologies if I forgot a role. I tend to play dps, defense or support roles.

Jack of all trades master of none. TF2, I usually play soldier, but change to something else if needed...or I just want too >.>

I'd LIKE to say I'm a jack of all trades, becuase I am. But my role is simple: I'm the guy that makes sure everything is safe for the rest of the team... by running head-first into the enemy lair, springing all their traps and getting all their players to go after me.
Shortly afterwards, I switch to whatever the situation is to take down the defense I just fell vicitm to. In TF2, I play all classes, but mostly Demoman, a good class for jack-of-all-trades.

I switch it up constantly, nothing gets me annoyed more than the sniper team, you get to a certain point any everyone is a sniper, doesn't matter what game type or what causes the team to win they just snipe. It's stupid.

I'm two things - the guy who switches teams and classes for the sake of balance, and the close-quarters guy.

I'm always close to medium range, and am hardly ever a (goddamned!) sniper.

I usually leap into the fray, run decoy and employ a tactic where I throw myself into the field of fire until the enemy runs out of bullets and i get a kill. Yeah, I'm not much for that whole k/d thing some people obsess over. I'm more of a Phillip Henry Sheridan than a James Longstreet. Those that actually understood who I'm talking about, pat yourself on the head and get yourself a cookie.

Charge in ahead and see what's going down. Doesn't matter if I come back alive or not.
So the distraction, basically. I take pride in the fact that without my phasewalking shenanigans making him all angry, me and my friend wouldn't have ever beaten Crawmerax.

If I'm not with my pals and playing with people who might get annoyed at my, albeit fun, suicidal attempts, I tend to just take up the role no one else has taken.
Unless it's a type of medic. I hate healing, it's so darned boring.

I like to combine sniping and healing, if I can.
Otherwise, I simply hang back and keep up the HoTs.

Jack of all trades.
But i like to emphasize on Heavy Weapons and Defense.

For example in Monday night Combat i play the Gunner.
I usually hang back at the base and take out anything that comes near the money ball until i upgrade my Mini-gun and Gunner Deploy.
And thin i usually lead a group of bots to the base.
Taking out any other player that gets in the way.

I don't mind being slow but i need to be able to fight well in any situation and be tough enough to survive.

Well I like to be the support/healer type of guy.
Thats the one role I seem to actually do good in...

If I'm not moving, that means more time between me and getting another kill. I tend to charge right into the fray with little concern for my own safety, which is why I hate Search and Destroy so much. Sure, it might be more effective to hang back and let enemies wander into your sights, but it just isn't as fun.

I'm the backbone - whether that's escorting wounded comrades in L4D, support gunning in Alien Swarm, heavying (or medicing) on TF2, or carting about the AT weapons in BC2. I rarely lead the charge, but I feel it's my responsibility to help it succeed, and I like the feeling of helping others play well.

In MMO's I break that by DPSing almost exclusively. I can't handle the stress of healing or tanking... :(
