usually a heavy or demo in tf2, unless there is a spy in the room i instantly go pyro for the rest of the game and flame the whole damn field, i fucking hate spies.

other games? i generally roll with some kind of defensive demo like person, i just love setting up traps and watching people fall right into them, i still remember getting a quad kill with the demo the other day, made me lol XD

I like support or assault roles. I tend not to live very long, if I try anything sneaky.

I'm more than happy to drop into whatever role our team is currently lacking, be it Medic, Sniper, Heavy Weapons etc. But my go-to class is kinda Tactical/Assault (mid-range semi-auto rifle + shotgun). Building to building, street to street.

Medic in TF2 but usually just soldier. I'm so outclassed by 90% of the soldiers in tf2 though I don't even try.

Generally go the sneaky or engineer route if the game has the option. Bad Company 2 combined them into one class so I'm sold there. I honestly don't have the vision to do full-on assault stuff. When I try it ends horribly.

Pyro. And, of course, because I'm a cheap bastard, I use the Backburner/Axetinguisher combo =D

If not that, then a Soldier with my Vintage Direct Hit, or a Scout with my Force 'O Nature.

Edit: Oh, this is FPS' in general. I play Support, Scout or Stealth. For example, I play a Support Spec. in Killing Floor, I'm a dedicated shotgunner/medic in L4D2, and I play engi, using a shotgun with 12 Gauge slugs in BFBC2. In Medal Of Honour, I played sniper, in CoD (When I played that pile of shit) I was always a submachine gunner.

Yeah, I'm either the guy keeping you alive, the guy running in and wiping things out, or the guy staying behind the sidelines, silently killing as he goes. And I enjoy all three equally.

[sub][sub]There's an art to being a good Pyro...[/sub][/sub]

I am an allrounder. I usually pick the class the team needs. If we need a medic, i'm a medic, if we need an engineer, i'm an engineer. If not I usually choose either the Infantry class or the Sniper/Scout

I don't play TF2, but as a general rule, I go for the stealthy assassin type role, and if not, I like support roles.

Tank or support, if I'm with friends, or good players. Otherwise I will roll as a damage dealer.

Whatever my team needs at the time. I stay as flexible as I can, means I'm not as good as someone who specializes but since I constantly switch when one a role is covered I can keep in practice with all of them.

In TF2 I would say Soldier, but that's more because I really like the Soldiers personality and play style. In any other game I'd choose something more sneaky..

Typically I've played the medic or operative (sniping or hacking)in most FPS games, switching to other classes when needed to help the team. RPG games usually a mage on 1st playthrough, then other classes.

I don't actually play many games that have classes. Apart from singleplayer RPGs, in which case, I probably play through it a sufficient number of times to dabble in most classes.

Generally, I go for a support role in games rather than direct-combat. That's not to say I don't kill people, but I'm generally trying to help my teammates accomplish something, even if that's by kill assists.

In TF2, I play as Heavy or Spy.
In BC2, I play as Engineer or Medic.
In a few MMOs, and in Killing Floor, I've played as the healing class.

for me it varies, but i think that i most often play a supporting role on online games, staying back as the healer or taking the punishment as a tank.
