I deleted my ME save file about a year and a half ago. STUPID STUPID STUPID. So, I won't get any of the stuff related to past choices without another whole playthough.

But, I never finished Dragon Age, due to indecision on my character. I played up to and through Lothering at least 7 times.

What should I do? Play DA, and wait to play ME2? Or play ME, get ME2, and then play DA?

edit: WHERE THE FUCK DID MY POLL GO?

Dragon Age is a hell of a game, but so it Mass Effect... I say go for Mass Effect, have the best play-through possible, grab Mass Effect 2, beat that, then go back to Dragon Age. But that is only really smart if you intend to get tons of stuff done in Mass Effect to have a better experience in Mass Effect 2.

Superior game imo, and if you start now you might be lucky to finish just in time for the expansion in march. Good times!

Yeah i'm in the exact same position, if lothering is the elven forest, cos that area bores me to tears and i cant find the willpower to get past it, i was loving it up till then though. I'm just hoping i can get my copy of mass effect back in time to clear it before me2 comes out

Dragon Age lasted me longer. Mass Effects boring side quests were boring. Go to planet, find ore, maybe kill some things, look at Shady Space Cow. Boring boring boring.

If you absolutely have to play one of them first, I recommend Mass Effect. But that's coming from someone who doesn't enjoy RPG's. Someday if I get bored enough I will give DA:O another chance.

Yes. There is...Bayonetta, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, and the Jak Trilogy.

I found Dragon Age: Origins to be much more enjoyable than Mass Effect. Both games have good characters and stories, but the combat in Dragon Age: Origins is vastly superior. It's fun, challenging, and satisfying!

Unfortunately both games share a major flaw. The side quests in both of them suck horribly. Here's the formula for most side quests in Dragon Age: Origins;

Step 1: Examine some random object
Step 2: Get lengthy codex entry that you won't bother to read
Step 3: Continue doing your normal business
Step 4: Kill some random enemy
Step 5: Suddenly complete the quest without even realizing that you had done it
