When you vote in threads w/ polls. Do you actually read beyond the first few comments or last few comments?

Or do you just vote, comment, and move to a different thread?

If the first few comments are nothing but drivel, I just close the tab.
But, if those comments actually contain something I deem interesting, I continue reading until such a time as I run across three or more posts in a row which just detail their decisions, without any kind of explanation.

I read the first post, vote and then read the first page. If it's really interesting I might read a few more pages, or just skip to posts that have quotes in them.

I read the first few posts to get a better feel for the poll, then vote, then skim the whole topic for interesting posts before I post myself. It all depends on the subject, though. If it's highly discussable I'm likely to read everything before posting to avoid reiterating opinions.

more often i won't bother voting, even after making a comment stating where my vote would go, i still sometimes don't. besides, most polls are downright idiotic (there's one atm polling whether metal is the true evolution of rock, for example) and i'd like to see if anything interesting or even logical manages to come out of it.

I don't vote in polls and just read the thread because polls are nearly always broken and can never have enough options for the way everyone feels towards a subject.

Hey...

There's no poll answer for that! This poll is broken!

I'm the opposite way, I usually only vote in Y/N type threads. A poll has almost nil use if you have an option for every opinion. Example Does X person deserve death penalty. A Y/N is the way to go but people end up putting in 8 options that ultimately only boil down to Yes No Other.
