I think it's probably a lot of people here are students, like myself, and thus have no income whatsoever.Dele said:I am suprised that half of escapists voting have a crappy pay. I thought this was the place of all forums to find more educated high-pay people.
My answer would be identical to this, but since I have nothing to contribute I just won't post in the thread.rottenbutter said:In order:
I work no where, because I'm too young.

Since childhood I have always wanted to do nothing.
I'm happy not working.
I have no stories.

The economy will have stabled by the time I get a job (currently 14). I expect the recession to last a maximum of 3 years (I'll be at college then and only have a part time job which won't be to hard to find) to a minimum of 2 years.Reaperman Wompa said:That. Worst thing is when I'm old enough to work we'll still be in a recession or in the middle of it.rottenbutter said:In order:

Not really, more like 5 years. Though it will have started to get better by the fourth year we're going to have to deal with this for more than 3 years, not including rebuilding of the economy.nathan-dts said:The economy will have stabled by the time I get a job (currently 14). No I disagree, I believe that it won't take long to rebuild the economy after we've stabilized it.Reaperman Wompa said:Not really, more like 5 years. I work for IBM in the UK, what part of the company do you work for? Im in the M&TS (Maintenance and Tehcnical Support) as a CE manager. Trying to get a transfer to be near my partner while trying to figure out how one becomes IBM, y'know!Vlane said:I work in vienna for IBM.
It depends on what I do over the year. I started working there last year and I earned about 60k ?.
Well you believe wrong because its going to take a hell of a lot longer to become stabilised before it begins to rebuild. Have a look at the spiralling redundencies coming from huge companies that have been knocked silly. The intrest rates completely bottoming out and mortgage lending at a standstill. Foriegn investment and foreign workers leaving and how weak the pound has got. This will not begin to run around for another 6-10 years I fear. I believe that is the grim reality faced by many.nathan-dts said:No I disagree, I believe that it won't take long to rebuild the economy after we've stabilized it.Reaperman Wompa said:Not really, more like 5 years. The economic revival will start as soon as US gets their economy working and I dont expect Obamania kickstart before end of 2010. Next march I will propably get my savings and get a cheap government-backed loan and invest on stocks hoping to gain nice sum of money by 2015.goater24 said:Well you believe wrong because its going to take a hell of a lot longer to become stabilised before it begins to rebuild. On the other hands my folks won a huge sum on the lottery and I have savings. Now I can afford to get on the property ladder in the next 12/18months and my parents investments will mature in five years with some fantastic rates being offered by banks. Funny atm they need the money. This crisis couldn't have come at a better time for me and my family.
