Just got finished watching that Path To Korra thing on Nick where it played all of the episodes in preparation for The Legend of Korra's premiere tomorrow. This topic probably has been done before (everything has been done before, anyways :p), but what is your favorite element?

Mine is fire. I've always loved fire. :D

Probably air since it seems like the most useful.

You can only water bend when there is water, and you can only earth bend when their is earth, but you can air bend pretty much anywhere. Plus, I mean really, who doesn't want to be able to fly and run super fast?

Earth. I did it by the process of elimination.

Air...well sort of meh. Versatile but too...meh for my tastes.

Fire - not really versatile. You can burn stuff or you can turn stuff to ashes. You can also try to warm stuff but what's the point in that. Lighting seems useful but in the end it's really a variation of burn/turn to ashes.

Water is useful but it's really dependant on the water available. Sort of limiting.

Well it was either water or earth but the latter seemed just easier to come by. Especially with metal bending. Also, Toph is just badass.

Air easily has always been my favorite. The ability of speed and acrobatics with air you can move anywhere and go anywhere it would be increadable.

Fire. It is usually connected with things such as destruction, hatred and sometimes fear.

Earth would be my second pick, as she is old and very great. Nature is more or less the most superior/significant thing in our lives.

So it'd certainly be a toss up between those two.

Air because flying seems pretty fun. Although fire is more badass... and earth is pretty cool too. Goddammit, can't decide. Whatever.

Well, fire is also connected with love, warmth, light, and life. :p

True, but those things don't attract me as much. I guess I'm looking at this in a more fantastical-light rather than a reality one.

I'd probably go with air because it's the most readily available of the four and is quite versatile.

Earthbending, which isn't the power to bend dirt, soil and rocks but rather the power to bend all geological materials as long as it comes from the earth, hence the power to bend metal. In other words Earthbending is a lot more versatile and ready to use then people give credit for.

The same goes for Water bending, as there is water almost everywhere. remember when Katara used her own sweat to break out of prison.

So yeah I choose earthbending, with waterbending coming in at a close second.

Earthbending is more about solid and abrupt moves, with a good deal of practical and fantastic applications. I'd go for Earth, then Water, then Air, and finally Fire.

Edit: My wife says she thinks I'd be a Water or Air bender based on my personality.

I don't know how any other bending type can beat earth tbh. In one of the episodes toph takes down the huge team of people protecting the palace. I can't imagine any other element being able to do that.

I really liked Iroh's philosophy of Fire.

It's the element that suits me the most. Im not pacifistic so air is out. I believe dodging is an important part of fighting so earth is out & I don't like how waterbender need water everywhere.

Earth has always been my favourite magical element, I've always thought that the ability to alter geography and topology at will was awesome, besides in Avatar it does bend whatever comes from earth, so metal counts too, which means I wouldn't have to be a warrior, I could a constructor or something like that.
In fact I would use it to go around making roads and bridges to make the whole world easier to navigate, and I would do it for free, just because the idea sounds fun to me, besides if I were in any combat scenario as I've said the ability to alter the terrain would give me a great strategic advantage, so anyway Earth bending is easily my favourite.

By the way I'm glad it's leading so far, earth always seems like the most neglected element so yeah, Earth for the win.
[sub][sub]Somebody should make a game completely based around that, Fracture had the right idea but it didn't use it enough.
[sub]Now that I think about it my greatest trait on real life is endurance, something that is more associated with earth, so it does sound like my kind of thing.[/sub][/sub][/sub]

Gotta love minecraft then, eh? :p

Interesting though, I think that a game based around the elements would be pretty cool.

Uh... eh... I... I haven't played it yet, well I played the flash thing, the one I think was the first version, but I don't know, it just slipped my mind, now that I think about it I haven't bought Terraria either, I really should get around to buying those, some day.

Eh, I would like to see it in a strategy game though, it would be so awesome, preferably turn-based since I suck so much at RTS, but RTS would be fun too, I think, it would be really hard to balance though.

I am going to go with air. I am incredibly passive, and I would rather run from all of my problems rather than confront them. I also would like to abandon the need for cars and just fly everywhere. Air sounds perfect.

Also, thank you. I didn't know when that premiere was.

Earth is the most badass to watch. Fire is a close second, but the sheer awesomeness of Toph trumps all.
