Well, since Borderlands is coming out in less that a month, I thought I'd make a thread on it.

Which class are you going to play?

Personally, I'm going to play as the Soldier, as I always loved being support and healing classes. That, and my friends have designated me the "heal *****" in games, meaning I always have to be the healing guy.

What about you?

I guess that makes me a soldier as well.

Whichever one is best with assault rifles and shotguns. Not sure which one that is. I heard Brick does that, but I've also heard Roland does.

I haven't really been keeping up with this game. However, seeing as how me and the hunter share a name, I'll pick him.

I am so excited about this game I want to say I'll play them all but to be honest I only have so much time, and the hunter and siren seem more interesting than the soldier and beserker, mostly because i am under the impression that playing the soldier would feel like I were playing any other shooter game more than any of the other classes and I am not sure just how effective the turret could be (i.e. does it level with you? can it be destroyed? How long can it be deployed for at a time? What is its range?). And the Beserker ... well sadly he seems even more boring than the soldier. I mean in a game where there are supposedly millions of different guns, I'd feel like i'd be missing out to go with the "melee" specialist. Also his skill tree choices seem more underwhelming than the soldier's. Hunter seems a bit restrictive to me for the same reason; a good portion of his skills encourage the use of pistols and sniper rifles exclusively. So my most played class will be the Siren.

It' Roland. Brick is the melee/explosives guy.

I'm gonna play as each of them for a bit, just to get a feel for each of them, but from what I've read, Lilith seems to be the most interesting to play as.

Hmm... They all look pretty interesting, except for the Brick (I can tank, whoopty fucking do). But I guess I'll still try the Brick out to see if there is anything unique about him. So, yeah, I'm going to play them all.

Siren/Lilith.

1: Hot chick
2: Stealth/Techinque character, which tends to be my favorite class to play.

My Hunter is at 49 and my Siren is at 24ish. I think I may make a Soldier next before leveling the Siren. I've found the Siren to be a LOT more difficult, since she relies so heavily on finding elemental weapon upgrades. Maybe I've just had bad luck, but I haven't found many of them.

I'm going to play Hunter first and branch out from there, they all look like they are interesting character types after looking at the skills.....only a day to go.
