Poll: Who is more annoying, Fi or Navi?

I personally despise Fi. The phrase "exposition fairy" is an apt description of her. All navi would do is tell you where to go. Fi on the other hand will produce verbal diarrhea at the slightest provocation.

I wish Nintnedo would go back to the Link to the Past days where Link did NOT need a support character.

This is tough. IMO, it's Fi, but Navi is pretty awful. I could see going either way. Tingle isn't far behind.

I like Navi. But Fi is pretty awful, especially since she follows Midna (the best companion in the series). Fi states the obvious in the most boring way possible, and takes hand-holding to the next level.

At first I thought you where talking about the blue people form Avatar and the elves form Kingdoms of Amalur. I was at a lost for words because I don't know witch one is more annoying. I think it is apparent I haven't had much sleep.

Fi was so much worse. The hints were useful, but telling me every time I was low on health or my shield needed repairing was annoying. I also hated being told something more than once. The game seemed to think I forgot how to select where to land EVERY time I went skydiving.

For the most part, you can ignore navi, you can't really ignore fi
However for forcing you to pay attention to obvious crap, fi takes the cake
Think of it like navi stating that there are tracks on the floor and fi saying there is a blablabla chance these tracks were made by or lead to bla
Plus the dousing gimmick and the general gimmicky nature of skyward sword in general

Where does midna rate though. She was also annoying at times but her real form was so damn moe. Why were all your near useless side kicks female, I want John Cleese or Carl Sagan as my spirit guide.

Definitely Fi - Navi's "HEY! LISTEN!"'s were unforgiveable but Fi... oh man. Talk about pointing out the obvious. She seemed to be designed with the intention of "4 year olds can now play the Zelda series!", completely forgetting that the Zelda series uses dungeons with puzzles that are likely too advanced for that age.

So while Fi is reinforcing the opinion once again that yes I should go to the next temple (where the feck else would I go??), she expects me to know how to figure out every dungeon puzzle without her help?

And with all the personality of a fork, she seems even more unbearable - particularly since she followed Midna (imo, the best support character in the Zelda series to date).

Only played a few hours of skyward sword but already Fi annoyed me more than Navi (who I really didnt like) its like they sat down and said how can we create the most vapid uninspiring dull and generally irritating character possible and then focus tested it to perfection to get Fi.

Now Midna was awesome and contributed a lot to why I enjoyed Twilight Princess the most out of any Zelda game I have played even though I think Four Swords Adventure and Link to the Past are superior games.

Fi, without question. I don't get all the hatred for Navi. She doesn't talk as much as people say and what she says is usually helpful. Also listening to her is optional. But Fi forces you to listen to her fucking boring dry slow scrolling bull shit and talks to you like you're a blind infant. She's never any help because she only ever says stuff that's blindingly obvious, like repeating what someone just said to you or warning you about something 5 feet in front of you. If you're ever stuck on a puzzle and ask for help all she tells you is to look around! I've never been annoyed with any sidekick character in any Zelda game except Fi. She really pisses me off.

Midna is still the best helper of them all. She is an actual character that has a story arc over the years. Proving once again why Twilight Princess is the best iteration of the one Story Legend of Zelda's been telling over the last 25 years. I do not care if there is an official correct order bullshit. It is one story told over and over again and that's it.

Ooh, tough one, but I'd have to say... Neither. I really enjoyed both of them. I even teared up a bit when it came time to say goodbye to Fi.

Pretty much Fi. The only thing that got going for her is her interesting apperance. She was just a robot which her face is creepy as hell when she sing and she was as useless at given you info and interupt you annoying.
I actually didn't find Navi all that annoying despite those who did with her voice but overall I think Midna is best support character.

No contest: Fi. Navi may have been a bit annoying but at least she was concise. Fi will monologue at you for longer than fucking Kaebora Gaebora but while KG would tell you stuff you could have also read in the manual and Navi would give you random hints, Fi will straight-up repeat what other NPCs have just told you. Another factor against Fi is that while Navi will have her moments where you can't skip over what she has to say, those only happen a couple of times in the entire game. Fi will force her opinions on you multiple times between quests, during quests and, at other random times after chatting with NPCs. Fuck...Fi...

No, but it shows you have a great deal more patience than the rest of us.

I'm playing Devil's Advocate and saying I liked Fi more, unskippable text blocks were annoying but since I took a long periods off between Skyward Sword bouts having her remind me what the heck I was doing was useful.

And I still get flashbacks of "Hey, Listen!" you notice how Tael didn't pull that sh*t? That was ALL Navi.
