Poll: Who is the bigger moron cartoon father?

Quite often this topic enters my brain and as I think to myself which of those 2 characters are the most stupid, I keep thinking I have the answer..but then I think of more stuff that the other character has done to counter it..and im back to square one again. So I'm curious as to what the rest of you guys think? I'm sure you have thought of this dilemma a number of times.

Who is the bigger moron? Homer or peter? and why do you think so?

Peter is in the realms of properly retarded, but Homer can function in real life and is a less one-dimensional character.

Peter's not quite got Cartman's evil genius bit though. I guess Stewie can take care of that.


But yeah, Stan all the way. Dumb, pushy, incredibly American, iffy morals, shameful nerd past... He's just a better character than Peter.

Peter is definitely a worse father and a worse person, and probably dumber, but it's close.

Randy Marsh (South Park) has his moments of epic stupid, but he comes off as generally smarter than the front runners.
Stan Smith (American Dad) is the worst father imo, but again probably not dumber than Peter or Homer.

Peter's 100x worse, because the Simpsons actually have real characters. Homer may be an idiot, but he at least he has fucking emotions. Peter's just a big fat brick brick, and so is just about everyone else on that show.

Could be argued that Peter Griffin is intended as a satire of Homer Simpson and such characters.

Anyway, they've both been MASSIVELY Flanderized (TVTrope it) over the course of their series' runs, so it's really irrelevant.

I vote Homer because there are at least 3 different stories given via the various media the show utilises as to precisely why he ended up so stupid.
