Poll: Who is Your Favorite Chrono Trigger Character and (not polled) What is the Best Team?

So, replaying it again for the (number too long to calculate)th time and noticing some interesting threads made me curious as to if anyone actually agreed with me on picks, and see what other people think.

My favorite character --> Ayla
Favorite team --> Ayla, Crono, Robo

I can even list the characters in order of who I like...

3. Robo
4. Marle
5. Lucca
6. Frog
7. Magus

I always liked Magus the most as a character. He was an interesting anti hero and a really well done "villain", plus he was a kick ass magic user. I always felt sorry for the guy and how his whole life was just wrecked by Lavos and what not.

As for best team? Well Crono, Ayle, and Frog/Robo. That team just fucks shit up I tell ya, 3D attack was deadly when it came to fighting Lavos' final form.

I don't know, it'd be really hard for me to pick a favourite character.
But as for favourite team, I always went with the classic Crono, Marle, Lucca. Mostly because I was particularly fond of the Luminare followed up with Andipode Bomb 3 combination. Generally guaranteed to wipe out all enemies except maybe bosses, and even then once your levels high enough you can take out bosses with it too.

I just love Crono's design. As a protagonist, and a silent one at that, he's just really good, as opposed to other silent protagonists, he's drawn well, and watching him massacre people is cool. However, Magus is well designed too.

Best team: Crono, Ayla/Lucca, Robo.

I like every chaarcter in Chrono trigger. Crono is just someone you can look up to. Marle is just so damn independent, Lucca with her nerdiness, Robo with his awkwardness, Frog for being a badass, Ayla for being the strongest physical fighter in the game ( Seriously you should see my file. Her regular attacks will knock you on your ass), and Magus for being and uber badass.

I always thought the best teams were with with Lucca and Marle. They all just look good together. Of course Ayla and Robo are a damn force to be reckoned with too.

My final team and favorite was Crono, Magus, and... Robo? I actually forget now. Haven't played that in years.

As for me, I usually just rocked Marle and Ayla. I liked Crono best simply for Luminaire. I probably could have done better, but I wasn't particularly thrilled by the game.

love frog, but for teams, it's the classic crono, lucca and marle. antipode is awesome against all

I always loved Robo. He was a deep character one that hit me the most emotionly throughout the game. Certain parts that I won't name due to spoilers showed his compassion, acceptance and loyalty and it just blew me away. Don't get me wrong the rest of the characters were well done as well, but Robo was my favourite. For my favourite team it'd be Chrono, Frog and Robo.

Ayla, Crono, Robo is statistically the strongest team, IIRC. Me, I prefer to use Ayla, Crono, Marle, because the game is easy enough that you don't really need the "best" team.

I'd have to play it again to remember what my preferred team was though.

Magus. While most villains soften up after joining the party his dialogue indicates very little has changed- "...you got whacked, 'cuz you're weak." "There's a letter here. Shall we burn it?"

My best combination however, is Crono, Frog, and Robo. Quickest to learn their Triple Tech (usually around the Tyrano Lair in 65 million BC, but possibly even sooner if you bring Robo to Magus' Castle) and two healers are enough to make up for Marle's abscence, with a good balance of physical and magical attack power.

The results (according to the poll) do not surprise me much. I've never understood the popularity of Frog. Or Magus. It surprised me a little that Marle hasn't even gotten a single vote. She's the best healer with the best support spell (Haste), and yet half the votes go to the guy who weakens as the game progresses and the guy who is inferior in every way except maybe healing to the hero.

I always used Crono, Lucca and Ayla. In a game, I always use a physical attacker (Ayla), a magical attacker (Lucca) and a mixed character (Crono). I usually have a healer, as well, but I just farmed Megalixers using Charm in Giant's Claw and that worked out just fine.
