I stick with PS3, went through 4 xbox 360's since release which all crapped out and died on me (RROD), got a bit furious about that shit so I got a single PS3 which is still running like a champ after almost 2 years.

Pretty easy choice for me, if one company won't make a reliable product I'll get something different.

I also do a bit of PC gaming but my 'puter is getting old at this point and I'm not willing to sink another $2000 on a PC, maybe down the road. For now PS3 is doing just fine for me.

Wholly depends on what I want to play. I've got two gaming PCs, a PS3, a 360 and a Wii for current gen stuff, and each gets used a fair bit (minus the Wii, I should get back to Metroid though). If I want to play online I go with my PC, two (or more) player split screen is generally reserved for my 360 and most of my strictly one player games are on my PS3. Now certain genres are reserved for either PC or conosole (RTS/FPS is usually PC, and platformers go to consoles). I try to get as much use as I can out of all of my stuff, and they all do their jobs well.

PC and PS3, also have a Wii for when I feel like it as well.

I used to have a 360, but it broke for no reason, like my old Xbox did as well. No way in hell I'm ever buying another one of their consoles again.

Wii (along with most other Nintendo consoles), then PC.

Wii for Virtual Console action and Nintendo's first-party titles. (I like them: solid franchises that play well. Not concerned about "hardcore gamer cred"; I'm a thirty-something woman.)

PC for whatever games I'm interested in that I can't play on the Wii.

I use more than one. Because they have games I want to play.
This. I have a PS3, 360, PC, and a PSP. I play games on any of the platforms. Whatever I feel like buying it for. Exclusives make that decision easy.

Currently just my PS3 as my PC broked (Motherboard committed Seppuku). It gives me good opportunity to replace the 250GB Hard Drive with a 1TB. PS3 is good for action-RPGs and action adventure. PC has my RPGs, RTSes and FPSes which will have to start new saves on when it's finally fixed, plus I got a bunch of friends nagging me to get on vent.

I like playing on the PC because it really does everything. But my wife does too so we also have a ps3; we also have others over to play sometimes. We got that because we don't want to pay for online and at the time of our purchase 50% of the 360s were bricking.

PS3, XBox 360 & PC for me.

PS3 is my primary console, if there's a cross platform game I'll get it for the PS3 bar games that I'll play primarily for multiplayer. Excluding second generation cross platform games (such as Dead Rising 2 or Mass Effect 2).

Therefore the XBox is my multiplayer platform and whatever exclusives are on there that I fancy.

PC is the home to little and strategical games like Terraria and Civilization V. My PC isn't a gaming powerhouse though, so some games that I would like to get for it - like The Witcher (which I can run, but not to any level that would keep it fun) - I am unable to do so. I don't know enough about computers to build one up to the task cheaply, and can't justify the expenditure otherwise.

I want a DS for Pokemon and the other great RPGs it has - but I don't have time to play all the games that arrive as it is so I've been sensible and not got one. Yet :)

I mostly game on my PC, but I do use my DS, PSP, PS3 and N64 depending on what specifics I want to play. Mostly PC because the types of game I enjoy most I feel are played best on the platform (RTS, RPG, FPS, and most recently, Indie Platformers like A.R.E.S, Terraria, Beep, and Capsized). But I do flip on my PS3 for action games like InFamous (I & II) and Ratchet & Clank, or games like FFIX (my favourite).

As for PSP I pretty much only play Monster Hunter on it. DS, pretty much only Pokemon. Looking forward to OoT 3D and Kid Icarus 3D though.

And the N64? I'm not sure if I need to explain that or not...I love that thing. Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Pokemon Snap, Goldeneye, Banjo Kazooie, Super Smash Bros, Mario 64...Awesome.

I use my PC for RPGs and RTS because it's simply better for those genres. I use my 360 for fighting games and FPS because most of my friends are on Xbox Live and those games are better with friends.

PC games are fine, but I prefer the immersion a contoller gives me :)
Interesting, the PC allows me to immerse. The console controllers just give me sore thumbs.

Part of it's that sweet, sweet mouse compared to which the joysticks have always been clumsy and awkward. A few minutes into the game, and I'm forgetting that I'm not turning my head to look.

Interestingly, console controls use the thumbs to do most of the actual controlling (trigger / shoulder buttons being the exception) where on the PC the whole hand is implemented. The disadvantage is, of course, a PC setup requires a station, where the controller can be utilized anywhere one can have two hands free, hence, on the sofa or even a dance floor.

Also, I'm left handed (and use my mouse/keyboard setup left handed) so I really like to customize my controls.

I play PC games, because...Tradition, the fact that the open ended nature of the system means it is a more natural platform for unusual, innovative indie games and mods, I find mouse and keyboard exponentially better then a controller for over 99% of games (And practically the only option for some whole genres), I need a computer anyways so its cheaper in the long run (And steam deals save me even more money), and I love digital distribution. Also, I'm tech savvy enough that the hiccups in tech arn't a big deal, and am not overly bothered by ports.

I play on the PS3 because I used to have a PS2, and you can play Ps2 games on the PS3. Shame they didn't work very well.

My primary platform is the Xbox 360. I acquired mine for Christmas at least five years ago and have been a faithful fan ever since. My reasoning is simple. I play a lot of multiplayer games online and from what I've seen the 360 has the easiest method of doing so. I also find that every single one of my favourite video games are on Xbox or even yet are Xbox exclusive. Also, I already have a blu-ray player so the PS3 (my runner up choice) has little pull for me.

Before, I played on the PC because I desperately needed a desktop computer after my old 2004 computer crapped out on me. I thought, "Why not build a gaming computer since I play games?" And here I am. Now I primarily play on my PC because I hate the thought of seeing people and shopping for games (Steam and Amazon solved that issue).

I also play on my Xbox 360 now and then, when I have the batteries.

I play primarily on my PC as it allows me to purchase whatever I want without considering whether it's suitable for the rest of my family, and because it means I can play whenever I want, no waiting around for a chance at the TV.
