Poll: Will you buy Duke Nukem forever?

With Duke Nukem about to come out I was wondering how many fellow escapists have bought the game or will buy the game and why? I myself have not bought the the game but only because I'm low on cash. What about you?

Probably not, based on what i've heard about the demo it seems like it's not going to be that great and there are a lot of other games I need would much rather have coming out this year so I need to save my money.

Sought of looked at it to begin with and then just thought no after hearing about the gameplay. I think gearbox software is about to take a major kick in the balls for making a game that is probably one of the most notable titles of all time and that is a pretty impressive achievement in itself.

It better not suck. Demos are not always true to game tho. I'VE PLAYED MANY BAD DEMOS that made good games. I just hope to get a guilty pleasure laugh every 45 seconds and have entertaining gameplay on the sidelines. Not all my games need to be Bioware quality or Metal Gear Epic Drama.

I recently played Duke Nukem 3D and realized that it was basically just a shameless ripoff of Doom/Wolfenstien (I'll say it's a Doom Clone though) and you know what? It makes sense that 3D Realms would make DNF into a Halo clone. I'll watch as reviewers throw it perfect scores while critics crucify it but I'll wait until it's a $20 bargain game before I pick up my copy. I wanted Balls of Steel but I think I'll wait until the complete edition (or, Hail to the King Edition) which will likely release in 1 1/2 - 3 years from now with all DLC included.

Nope. Back when the series was in its heyday, I didn't care for a game that wasn't made by Nintendo. Then again, the last time a game came out for Duke Nukem I was in first grade so that should be taken with a grain of salt.

I love how people say "OMG GEARBOX RUINED IT" when Gearbox didn't make 95% of the game 3D Realms did.

Im waiting to get a look at the game to actually come out since demos can vary widely from the finished products. Once it does, Ill watch some videos on Youtube to make up my mind and if it looks fun Ill buy it. If not I wont

I like shooters, and I like old school shooters, but I hate tits for the sake of having tits. This is just a horrible phase that games need to grow out of. As long as games like this are being made, games will never get any respect.

Nope, Didn't play either 1 or 2, and 3D was kind of lame IMHO. I also feel like the whole catch the babe or spank the babe or whatever, was completely unnecessary, and while I support their right to include what ever they want in their game, I feel it just added fuel to the anti-game fire.

I didn't like Duke back in the day, and not much has been done to change my mind. That, and I don't care for shooters, so there is little point in me getting the game.

I hope for those who do buy the game that it will be a good game and that they enjoy it for all the money they spend on it.

I'll be interested to see what Yahtzee gives it, I have been disagreeing with most of his "reviews" lately and am wondering if this will follow the same trend.
