Poll: Will you outgrow games?

I've been playing video games since I was three years old, or something. I'm never going to outgrow them.

I have friends, I have a fiance, and I still get to enjoy video games. Life is good.

Of course I can't say for sure; But probably no. I was told: "when you get older you'll understand why real life is more fun". But I never did. As time goes by I see less and less reason to stop playing. Real life is pretty damn predictable and boring. Until someone presents the true meaning of life to me it will remain my understanding that we have no idea what the meaning of this shit is, and all we can do is to enjoy ourselves. For me, that's games.

Real life is pretty dan predictable and boring??!?!?!?!!? If you stay in your bedroom playing games ofcourse it is, you just got to do stuff, just fly to china for a week and see what happens, go skiing/snowboarding in the alps, what have you tried doing so far??

Oh and I will probably quit completely when I get to college, anyone who wants to get a good job hasent got time to play games during college.

Since your asking for my oppinion. I'm going to say that no one out grows games, no matter how old you may be. Life is a game that must be played. we win and lose all the time but the whole idea of a game is to have fun and not to give up. And im enjoying life now *grins*. sorry if i went a bit too far. just spilled out what was on my mind.

Who's to say? When I was seven I thought I'd never grow out of Lego and....hang on bad example..
Honestly I don't know, I certainly don't think so now, I love games and everything they can be.

If games stop being enjoyable and if they all turn to rubbish I will outgrow them. I don't want to waste my time. I'd probably just turn to the classics.

I'll be playing them till I die, hopefully. I've had gfs that hated gaming (they didn't last long) and gfs that were also gamers (these lasted longer) so ultimately I do hope to settle down with someone that will love gaming as much as I do, or at least someone that will tollerate it

Although my tastes have changed greatly, from my first SNES, to PC games, to nothing that isnt an MMO or online FPS. Will be interesting to see what the next stage is, but I guarantee it will be gaming!

My true hope is that when I'm old and arthritic, they'll have telepathic controls or somesuch, meaning my sharp gamer mind can kick the ass of the young whippersnappers and there silly tinfoil jumpsuits...

NEVER. Im going to force my kids to play all the games i used to play. Starting with Doom, Commander Keen and Scorched Earth. Then Pokemon Yellow and Quake. Then Spyro 3, Tekken 3, Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 and Crash Bandicoot 3. Somewhere here they will play some classic Final Fantasy, preferably VII. Eventually they can move on to the HL1 series. After, they can play through Gran Turismo 2, 3 and 4 before moving on to BF:1942. Then once they have played through that they can have a go at the source engine games like CS:S, TF2, Portal, L4D and the HL2 series and then Final Fantasy XII, Bioshock, COD4, COD5 and Far Cry 2. Then Finally any future releases such as Modern Warfare 2 etc. After all this hopefully they will appreciate their quad-HD games they have available to them. Lucky Bastards

I'll probably get back into gaming once the need to study arises, not to worry.

So no, I shall not grow out of it. I've been playing since I was 2. That's a little too long to be called a "phase".

I haven't "outgrown" games yet, although I don't get to play them as much as I used to now that life has rudely interrupted my gaming schedule. I still enjoy them, it's just I don't buy as many games nowadays, and so have to be a little more selective.

It's why I'm hoping Arkham Asylum is teh roxxor.
