I'm gonna be a complete generic trendwhore and play as a Jedi Knight simply because I love lightsabers and the force.

Starships would be awesome, but they'd have to be exactly like the starships in Galaxies to keep the feel right.

I put down maybe, but that depends on what computer I'll be using in the future. I can only play older titles ATM, my graphics card isn't good, but if I upgrade in time, I'll be looking forward to SWTOR.

You say "Will I" like I have a choice in the matter. Bioware already has my money, they just need to take it from me. They can have my firstborn as well if they released it this year too.

As an avid fan of KotOR and KotOR 2 (My favourite was the 2nd, even though I was told that the first was better), I'm a bit cautious to this, I mean, will an MMO-style KotOR get you as immersed as when you were playing on your own? I'm not sure, to be perfectly honest. I'll probably only get it if it's a one-time-only subscription fee, if it's monthly I'll have to forget about it which will be hard because it looks SO COOL. I had a nerd-gasm when I watched the "Deceived" trailer ;).

I'm not playing it for two simple reasons. MMO and Star Wars. Putting those two together its going to have a much worse community to be subjected to online then any other MMO, aside from Star Trek maybe. Being subjected to an online community in and MMO puts you with the worse gamers in the world. Arrogant, greedy, hateful, ego driven, etc. Ive nothing against Star Wars, but they have an extreme fan base filled with lore experts, detail arguers, and situation complainers trying to tell others what is and isn't. There's going to be plenty of normal nice people to game with I know, but I won't bother paying a monthly fee and getting the hassles of an MMO just to find them. Played WoW for about 4 years before I just got too sick of it to keep at it, mainly because of the online world. Played City of Heroes/Villains for 4 years too but left for other reasons, but mainly with the online community. I'd really play these games again, and many other MMOs, if they made an offline version to enjoy solo or on a private game where you can invite a few people so its no one in the world but just your handful.

I loved KotOR I & II with the burning passion of over one thousand burning suns, and as far as I am concerned, they are amongst the greatest games ever made, period.

So no, I will not be playing that piece of shit sellout of an MMO.

They sacrificed KotOR's story, and in turn, any chance of a KotOR III in order to cash in on the MMO cash cow, the only thing that is stopping me from utterly despising Bioware right now is Mass Effect.

And just my luck, instead of Mass Effect 3, we'll get some crappy MMO like "Spectres of the Old Council" set 500 years after ME2 or some bullshit like that.

I put maybe because I will definatly play the free trial (Assuming that they have one) but I don't like the idea of subscribing to a game I have already bought...in fact I stil havn't payed a penny to XBL for Gold yet.....yet.

I like Star Wars, I like the Old Republic, and I like to play Knights of the Old Republic. However, I don't care for this idea about SWTOR. I have no opinion on online gaming, but I just don't see TOR being a hit for this franchise.
SWG is still running, so why do they need another online version of Star Wars right now? I just can't wrap my head around needing to play this game. It doesn't appear to offer anything new to the Star Wars universe, and you had player-owned housing and vehicles in SWG. All that seems to be different is the time in which events are taking place. Besides, you know half the people want to be Jedi and the other half want to be Sith.
This just sounds like new paint on an old house. If I am wrong, so be it. But for now, nothing is exactly turning my head about this project.
