Poll: Worst Hair in Gaming?

Seymour from Final Fantasy X has the absolute worst hair I've ever seen in a game (or anything else for that matter).

Spoiler: Just... Just look at it.

It's like, how could anybody involved in the production of the game looked at that hair and thought "Yeah, that looks sweet! Let's go with that!"

So can you beat that? Does anybody know of a video game character with worse hair than Seymour? In fact, I'd be impressed if anybody posts hair that is equally bad as Seymour's

I had an entire post written up, with pictures and everything and then the forum ate it, so now I'm just going to go for the conclusion.

Yu Gi Oh has the worst hair I've ever seen. Yu Gi Oh has games. Therefore Yu Gi Oh games have the worst hair.

The boss with the giant hair from Brutal Legend, and that asshole from Vagrant Story with the weird lightning bolt things coming off his head.

Well I'm inclined to say Flemeth, not because it's particularly bad as far as hair in games go but the fact that this is DA game.

Yeah, her being introduced in dragon form was enough. She doesn't need to glue her hair into the shape of horns. Then again they also gave her cleavage and random spiky bits of armour so whatever.

I'd imagine I'd have more examples if played JRPGs.

While the thread was opening, I thought to myself "Seymour from FFX better be on here!", thinking that this was a contest between the worst hairstyles from games with multiple options to vote on. Little did I know that it was JUST Seymour. Though I think just about any JRPG has at least one character who could apply for the title. I agree though, Seymour's hair was atrocious.

Well, I think there's no topping Seymour. Really, JRPGs in general have the horrible-looking ridiculous hair thing as an art form.

That said, I'm going to go to the other end and choose a more realistically awful hairstyle from a western RPG.

Her hair actually distracts me (although distractions from her voice might be a positive thing). It's meant to look bad, obviously, as apparently it was just grabbed and cut with a knife to keep it short or something, but... well... it certainly does a good job of looking bad. I suppose it's another note on the list of reasons that Sera is awful.

Spoiler: Dorian from Dragon Age: Inquisition

Look, I love Dorian to bits. I think he is funny, and a great companion, but something about his hair just seems... unfinished. It isn't the wackiest of hair, and it actually looks quite very normal, but by god, THE SIDES. The sides of his hair just looks like they gave him a Shepard-style shaved head, then layered some more substantial hair above it, but forgot to actually join it up. When I first saw it, I actually thought it was a graphical error, but I guess not. It isn't overly obvious at first, but I cannot unsee it!

Also, if you have put the mesh quality graphical option down to medium or low (or apparently anything in the new patch. GG BioWare, great QA!) everybody's hair will be super shiny and look like molded plastic.

Look, I love Dorian to bits. I think he is funny, and a great companion, but something about his hair just seems... unfinished. That actually looks REALLY similar to Dante's hair in the DMC reboot.

Just take Dante's hair, put it into a faux-hawk and that's exactly it.

I love that review, I've seen it twice. Actually I posted this thread after watching Spoony's review, because I wanted to know if anybody actually thought that hair looked good.

Dorian's hair is called an undercut, a lot of us have it and it's quite a popular hairstyle although I have never seen it in quite Dorian's fashion before but I think it looks okay.

Dragon Age does have awful hair though. I don't see how The Witcher can do hair so (I wouldn't say well but...) okay, it has collusion detection and everything, and then everything in Dragon Age looks like plastic. I seriously don't get the shiny low mesh settings hair, it is literally so awful it's worse than 5 year old Origins!

Yeah, I can't think of anything worse than Seymour's...

There's dumb-looking hair that still looks functional within the universe (like most Yu-Gi-Oh hair), or very stylized hair where I can suspend my disbelief because it fits the character to have that, but Seymour...

It just looks random.

It looks like one fucking disgustingly long dreadlock curling down from his head. UGHHHGHGHHH. I have a stern talking-to lined up for whoever took part in that design.

The worst hair though.. I don't really go into enough Japanese stuff to really see the awful shit apparent in this thread, but I came across this earlier from another thread:

I want to fucking hack it off so bad. It's discoloured blue and everything, it looks like it's mouldy. UGHHHH. Bad character design makes me cringe so hard.
