Poll: Would you buy "Left 4 Dead" on the PS3 if it was made?

I think Valve is just stupid. Ignoring millions of PS3 owners just seems to be a bad business decision. Personally I own a PS3 and would buy it on the PS3 before I would buy it on my PC. What would you do? (queue the console haters....) Lots of devs have made PC games look great and made millions of dollars off of those versions. Oblivion is one great example. Bioshock is soon to be another. So come on Valve. Get with the PS3 programming all ready because the art assets don't matter.

I do not own a PS3 but in this situation I'm going to say I do. I would not buy it. Why? Because very simple reasons like none of my friends own a PS3 and the ones that do would buy it for big simple reason 2, achievements. Yes, there pointless but we all love evidence that we can gloat to our friends to say "Har Har, I beat you didn't and I HAS TEH PROOFS".

You might say "O but PS3 has trophys now!" Yes but as it wasn't with the console at launch, the majority of PS3 games do not support this and even games now are getting released without trophys.

From what I've heard strait from Valve is that they focus only on the PC releases themselves. It's EA that ports the games over to the consoles (well, console).

Left 4 Dead isn't supposed to have ridiculous graphics requirements, it should be pretty cheap to buy a compatible PC... But yes, I'll be getting it for my computer and I don't own a PS3 so it really doesn't matter to me.

Actually most new PS3 games heavily support Trophies.

Valve is a small studio. They don't feel the time spent developing a game on the PS3 is worth it. They're right. This way they can make their original audience happy and continue to do so. They won't have the man power or resources to make for every platform.

Alright, I'm only going to say this once : after my XBox RROD'd on me, and I sent it off to MS, I finally realized the full potential of my PS3. Having only bought it for it's Blu-Ray feature, and MGS4, I went out to get CoD4 (thanks to my wife's addictiveness to that), and also got Dead Space. I'm not a fanboy, but having said that, if Valve were to put out Left 4 Dead on the PS3, I'd definitely get it for that, over the 360.

(My 360 got shipped back to me today, still not sure when the next time I'll turn it on is, since Dead Space pretty much has my attention for the time being.)
