Poll: Would you fight to survive?

After watching a few zombie flicks, I sat and asked myself, "Is fighting to survive worth it if this were to happen". So basically, what are your views should the world ever come to this horrific end?

Edit - You'd run out of supplies if you held up, and you'll essentially have to surrender anyway or starve to death. Holding up is a odd idea.

Being a diabetic, I'd be royally fucked in a zombie apocalypse, but I would definitely take out as many shambling things as I could.
Seems like it might be fun for a while.

Seeing from all the other zombie related threads, most of the people here will give you some elaborate plan on how they will get a bunch of guns and hold up in some building and become some silly zombie killer. Truthfully, most will be cowering in their homes praying the shit storm doesn't hit.

Yeah, I'd kill as many fuckers as possible assuming it's the Dawn of the Dead type, but if it's the 28 days later type I'll probably kill my self, in a way that will also kill as many zombies as possible.


Mainly, I'd fight 'till I die, as there's no way in hell I'm dieing a virgin.

Hell yes, I'd fight. However, if I get in a situation where I'm about to be eaten alive and I only have one bullet/knife/hammer left, I'm using it on myself. I'd rather commit suicide than feel the pain of being eaten alive.

I'd study 'em, and when the shit hits the fan, just save all my research on a portable hard drive and fly it to Mars. Then I would try out that mini-nuke I got off of eBay from some guy in Denmark.

Fight to survive of course, just in case I make it. Though, if I was absolutely, completely fucked (as in, holed up somewhere with a bajillion zombies starting to break windows and whatnot) I'd just shoot myself to be spared horrific zombie-death.

Most certainly. The thought of not even trying wouldn't even cross my mind. The choice between sitting still and waiting for certain death to come or fighting and facing possible death really is a no-brainer for me. Besides, I'm a stubborn bastard.

I'd survive as long as I could, kill as many zombies as I could and blow my own brains out with my last round of ammunition if I got bitten.

I would fight for a while until it stopped being fun or interesting. I give myself a few weeks (granted my friends all follow the plans we all made and we all make it to Home Depot alive) before I finally say "you know what? fuck this." and blow my own brains out or something.
also I would always save an extra bullet or sharp knife just for the occasion.

This is the best plan IMO.

OT: yeah I wouldn't just let myself die at the beginning. Afterall, there might be a chance of stopping said virus before the entire world dies off. I would go for someplace in the Artic circle though, the virus might not survive in that terrain.

Try my best not to die, but probably coke up first for focus and so being eaten doesn't feel so bad. I'll probably be dead before the coke wears off anyway.

In fact, maybe just take a massive dose of hallucinogenics and be completely oblivious to the zombies that are eating my brains by being busy fending off the n-dimensional invaders from the Outer Planet Zarr that are invading my non-Euclidean ultra-violet-coloured paradise, and hopefully miss the moment of death entirely.

As far as "fight or flight" goes, I'd run like hell first.

I'd only fight if I was cornered by the slow-moving zombies. If I was faced with the prospect of getting eaten alive by the running zombies... let's just say I'd keep a bottle of sleeping pills close by so I could die in my sleep before being ripped to shreds and devoured.

If there was no time to overdose on pills, I'd fight. I think that's pretty much human nature. Very few people are just gonna stand there stoically while their flesh is ripped from their bodies.
