This may sound stupid but, if for any reason, you could make your favorite console your best man at your wedding would you? Me and a friend were talking about which was a better console the PSX or N64, and told him if he loved his N64 so much he might aswell make it his best man at his coming wedding. Jokingly, he agreed but the question left me wondering. So if you were to choose a console to be your best man, which one and why?

I dont really feel any emotion towards my console other than ownership, and Since my PC is my favourite gaming platform, it doesnt count as it's not a Console ^^

Rule of thumb: If you have to start a post with "This may sound stupid", it's gonna be stupid, and probably doesn't need to be posted.

Silly, silly post.

I'm going to say no, but not because I think it's a stupid question. It's just that if it was going to be any piece of inanimate electronics that I've developed and unhealthy emotional attachment to, it'd probably be my phone.

Absolutely not. The only homage I'd make to my love for gaming at a wedding would potentially be the music played.

That and the Best Man speech would be it just sitting there or everyone watching someone play a game on it. The wedding is about me and my partner, not the console or games.

I'm probably never going to get married, but if for some weird reason I did, yes. defiantly. If for nothing else, than because It would be a fun story in a few years.
EDIT: I would use my PS3 by the way to answer the rest of your question.

I'm going to be a best man at a wedding in February, and my friend told me that I didn't have to give a speech. I told him that of course I was going to. I'm the best man after all.

He gave me a big smile and told me I was a good friend, and that was touching.

So as someone who is going to give a best man speech, and someone who would love to some day get a best man speech, I'm going to say...

HELL NO!

Of course not!

My heart belongs to Timesplitters 2.

Oh wait, you said best man...

Oh fuck it, I'd marry Timesplitters 2 if I could. There, I said it.

That would be awkward... considering that my friends have already declared that I'm dating my Xbox 360.

And considering I'm female, my console would have to be my maid of honor.

...Hm.

I can't imagine any console looking good in a bridesmaid dress.

My favorite console broke. Twice. Why would I make such an untrustworthy thing my best man?

Also, the whole inanimate object thing kinda puts me off the idea.

No, of course not. The original X-Box is a jerk. He would ruin the wedding. Besides, knowing him he would probably crash it with his mentally unstable younger-brother 360, drink all the booze, have sex with all the bridesmaids, then proceed to throw up on the dance floor, so inviting him would be useless anyway.
