I say either get a good PC upgrade or a 360, unless you REALLY want the PS3 exclusives.
It sounds like you already have a Wii, according to this poll?
Considering I said, "I already have a Wii" (or at least i think i said that)
then yeah, i have a Wii :)
Nothing wrong with the Wii, I just needed a new system so that I won't get bored with either system.

Yep, nothing wrong at all. I can understand that sentiment.

heh, 57 votes so far and not a single one for "just keep playing with your Wii". Anyway, I would go (and indeed have gone) with the 360. It's a fact it breaks down more often than PS3, but as long as you have warrenty that's not a huge problem. If it dies they'll replace it for free, and pretty fast too, takes about two weeks.

I'm suprised this still hasn't errupted into a full blown console flame war.

Are the fanboys sleeping?

Do you know how long the warranty is?

I've had an Xbox for 2 years now, it red ringed once, and I got it back 3 weeks later, fully repaired free of charge. So if you are worried about your xbox failing, all I can say is unless you can't go without games for more than a couple days, you should be fine. (escpecially since you hace a wii to keep you occupied anyway.)

as for PS3 fans, I still get into arguments, but the only solid arguments I've heard are MGS4 and reliability. the rest can be easily countered or explained.

Oh, and DO NOT try any towell wrapping solution bollocks, the best you'll do is void the warranty. just send it to MS and they'll fix it for free if it is a red ring.
ive had mine for 2 and a half years now to and i must say i chould not of been happyer i didant even get rrod once iam not so happy i did not listen to my friends and get a diffrent console

The 360 doesn't break half as badly as some people claim - I've had mine for over a year - no worries. If you buy now you'll get the new version too, named Jasper apparently its impossible for that system to overheat.

It's almost guaranteed to breakdown, but It'll probably only do it once or twice, then should work indefinetly... Newer ones break down less too.

In regards to the jasper/falcon differences you can actually tell the consoles apart before you even open the damned box, look near the serial number through that hole in the packaging and the voltage rating will read 12V, 12.1A if its a jasper, and i think 14.2A if it's a falcon, if it's 16.5A it's even older. I've had my 360 sat (vertically) between my monitor and my pc on my desk for about a year now and it's been fine.

Almost all good 360 games go to PC, so a PS3 is a far better option.
If you have a gaming PC which many of us can't afford!

yep, you get the Neo award for telling a richer person (apperently) that not everyone is like him

BTW this is not sarcastic, it may seem so, but it's not

I got a nice computer but a good graphics card is hard to find (for me)

Just buy a warranty through the store you buy it at, then if it dies you can go exchage it immediatly

Don't worry about the Red Ring Of Death, Microsoft was kind enough to fix that!

My experience and what I've heard supports that. I've had a 360 for about a year and friends have had theirs since before that. One of them got his 360 on launch day and suffered a fault a few months later. The rest of us haven't had any problems. They seem to have fixed it for new models.

i bought my 360 approximately 2 weeks after they hit the shelves in america. I've had it ever since and havn't had any problems. My brother has been through 4 in that same amount of time. it's a good system with fun games, but to be safe just get the warranty at whatever store you buy from.

Hm. To be honest I'm not entirely sure. I think 2 or even 3 years.

By the way, 83 votes now and still not even one for the poor Wii!!

This and about fan noises just install the games to your hard drive assuming you go with the 360 pro or higher. Doing so will almost completely eliminate noise. also the new chipset is supposed to lower the chances of the rrod, putting games on the hard drive also lowers the temp of the console which lowers the chances.

Yeah I have a budy who always goes on about his 2000euro gaming PC and how I should get one because it's way better than my flimsy 360.

That's great for you, Donald Trump, but some of us are limited in our finances.

[small]To prevent it just get a warranty, but if you are buying it new then it should come with one anyway, also xbox live is a must like many people have said. The 360 and the wii is the perfect combination, I have both too.[/small]

[small]Only I give out NeoAwards, you can be a minion of mine if you wish though. And no most 360 games do not come out on PC.[/small]
